I was responding to a post that specifically stated that it wasn't down. If you weren't such an angry dope, you might have bothered to read more before rage posting.

Its not down because of Bidens policies. It was down due to global demand. Then, for US production to regain, the prices have to come back to a much higher point then they were even several months ago. Anyone on here blaming Biden for gasoline prices is a moron. That means you.

This would assume that the we could not again supply the amount of oil we were supplying prior to the pandemic? And it also overlooks the fact that Biden had reversed the deregulation policies of the last admin in his first month of office, as well as discontinue the Keystone Pipeline and is now talking about sutting down another pipeline. I know everyone wants to always say that Presidents have nothing to do with oil prices, and yet, its just a coincidence that when the last admin was in and he enacted degregulations on the industry in the states, production shot up and prices dropped, and then Biden takes over and all of the sudden what a coincidence, production declines and prices shoot up right after he undid the deregulations etc.... 8 minutes ago, barho said: Actually, a global pandemic did it, but you keep telling yourself whatever makes you sleep better at night, champ. keep sticking your head in the sand.

We couldn't. See my post above. In order for rigs to come back online and then for that oil to make it to the market takes a price point at which we were well below for quite some time. Yes, now we are above that price, but it takes time to get oil from the earth to a refined gasoline product. Look at gasoline futures. They are down over the last month, which will equate to lower prices at the pump in the next several weeks.

Damn you love your ignorance. WRONG!! Again, see my response to Ipiggles. The price of oil needs to be far higher in the US for rigs to come back on line then it does for oil producing countries in OPEC to up their production.
November 17, 20213 yr Gasoline futures......down over $0.20/gallon since height three weeks ago. A good rough estimate for what you pay at the pump is to add $0.75- $1 to the futures price. Also, the futures price is for weeks out, so any help takes time to see at the pump.

November 17, 20213 yr Democrats may blow campaign promises and give the rich a big tax cut in Biden spending bill: 'We couldn't be giving Republicans a better gift' The plan designates $285 billion to raise the state and local tax deduction to $80,000 from its current level of $10,000, reversing a part of President Donald Trump's 2017 tax law called the SALT cap. It's the single largest program within the House package, set to last through 2026. After that, there would be no limit until 2031, when the $10,000 cap would be reimposed. Put plainly, this law would allow Americans to write off up to $80,000 in state and local taxes from their federal taxes. Democrats swept into power promising new taxes on the rich, but their maneuvering to get the bill over the finish line could hand the rich a hefty tax cut that dwarfs any for low-income Americans. "It would be preposterous if this legislation ends up cutting taxes for the wealthiest people in America," Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado told Insider. "It doesn't make any sense at all." A recent analysis from the Tax Policy Center found the House legislation would deliver a tax cut for families earning between $500,000 and $1 million roughly nine times larger than for those earning between $50,000 and $75,000. That was echoed by another analysis last week from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. https://news.yahoo.com/democrats-may-blow-tax-promises-153350703.html
November 17, 20213 yr The cult: the deregulation in the oil industry from the last admin had zero to do with the amped up production in the states which helped drive GLOBAL prices down since supply was up, and the reversal of said deregulation by Biden in his first month of office, also has zero to do with the lower than prepandemic oil production in the states, there by helping to increase prices as there is less global supply. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

November 18, 20213 yr Conservatives: West Virginia is very racist and elected KKK Robert Byrd to multiple terms in government. After serving in the House in the 1950s he served more than 50 years in the U.S. Senate. Also conservatives: Trump won West Virginia by 38 points.
