Because she's a Cornell Corporate law professor with experience in Bush's Treasury department, and not Biden's son in law.

November 19, 20213 yr About 1.6 million barrels of crude from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve — a monthly record — was shipped out in October, according to data from market intelligence firm Kpler. Three cargoes were loaded onto a supertanker in the U.S. Gulf Coast and are headed to Asia.

November 19, 20213 yr CBO estimate for BBB: https://www.cbo.gov/publication/57627 CBO estimates that enacting this legislation would result in a net increase in the deficit totaling $367 billion over the 2022-2031 period, not counting any additional revenue that may be generated by additional funding for tax enforcement. With the IRS enforcement measures this would be something line $16-20B / year over ten years. Probably not enough for Manchin. But it's closer than I expected it would be.

November 19, 20213 yr 5 hours ago, JohnSnowsHair said: how about we give inflation some time. in 2020 inflation was 1.2% - it had completely bottomed out. there are now supply chain issues, which are global and not linked to Biden policies, coupled with incredibly strong demand because people are both employed and flush with cash. so ... prices are going up. that's capitalism. if you want lower inflation in this particular situation you're looking at more centralized economic models like ... socialism and communism. the Afghanistan exit was not good, but who the hell is even talking about that now? we're out. most people are pretty happy with that, full stop. leaving the Kurds high and dry is arguably a worse move by and large, but I don't hear people talking about that much in the context of Trump's presidency. the important thing is that we're out of Afghanistan. I don't think you want to get into a discussion of the "weaponization of the FBI and DOJ". I'm sorry but you have no legs to stand on there, especially if you're comparing him to Trump, Barr & co. (which is exactly what you're proffering, so this isn't a "but Trump" answer - you specifically stated things are "far worse" than under Trump) OSHA was an overreach, as presidents are wont to do, and he was smacked down by the courts. I was not a fan of it, despite my support for private companies instituting their own mandates. and again, executive overreach is hardly a Biden exclusive here; it's been going on as long as we've had an American President. none of these are "far worse" than they were under Trump. Afghanistan alone was far worse than anything Trumps admin had done. Far worse. Trump didnt hand over Millions in weapons to our enemies and leave people behind. Unless I am forgetting something. Inflation? Sure wait it out, it is sure to level off, because it cant stay like this, doesn't change the fact that it is far worse now than at any point we had under Trumps incompetent admin. How about we give the Afghanistan exit and the weapons we left behind to our enemies some time. Lets see what they do with all that weaponery. If you can point to something Trumps admin had done that comes close to targeting parents who speak up at school board meetings as domestic terrorists, then we can talk. Yeah OSHA was an overeach. Unconstitutional. And some of the cult in here had zero issues with it. Again its been only 11 months. And so far he has done far worse then the incompetent boob he replaced. YAY US. It is a cult.

No, Trump only tried to steal an election by having his followers break into the Capitol and either grab the certified votes from the state (the area that was most ransacked by this "spontaneous" march) or coerce the VP and others into decertifying. I'm sorry, but if you are still defending Trump after Jan 6 you're absolutely brainwashed. Biden may not be a good president, but he's within normal parameters. Trump tried to break this country. Time will tell if he actually succeeded.

Honey you're the one who just tried to argue "weaponization of the FBI/DOJ" as an example of Biden being worse than Trump was.
