Poor analogy Alpha.  The point was that as distasteful as the exercise of eminent domain is, it is a necessary evil on many accounts.  The highway system is one of the most glaring example.  It's literally something we can't live without.

It's called critism and it's often good, and often intended to improve something, not bash it.

But it's also used against the person who is being critical to try and score easy points in an argument.

 Criminal Justice reform is needed in this area. When it comes to other crimes,  I:E: Theft and Violent crimes, this is where we should not be lienient. 

When it comes to theft, it should be an escalation type system, where the punsihment is determined by how egregious the crime. Stealing a loaf of bread so you can eat- minor offense- Stealing $800 TV- more serious.
