When was the last time you heard POTUS going out and supporting a small business, when it wasn't during a campaign stop? Depends on if you consider McDonald’s and KFC franchises small businesses? If so they were supported multiple times per day for the last 4 years.

I guess you really don't understand your own thought process. Or are too embarrassed to deal with it. Good to know. That explains a lot. You clearly have nothing to refute the statements made regarding Trump, so you resort to deflection and name-calling. It is so weird -- I see the same thing happen with almost all Trump supporters. They can't refute the facts and don't even try -- instead they attack the person that brings the many bad things about Trump to their attention. It is a quite curious, yet revealing response. But if you want to try again, I'll give you one more chance.

They "invaded" the capitol by ... protesting in the publicly accessible areas of the building. Lawmakers still went to work and went about their business in the days they were there. Totally comparable to violent insurrectionists looking to hang Pelosi, Pence, and others, forcing them to secure areas of the building while the US Capitol building was laid siege to.

Don't forget they also killed a cop. Yep, great comparison, geniuses.

The only way to truly do that would be to essentially disengage from the global community entirely and become as isolated (or more so), than North Korea. America First, under Trump, really meant -- Trump first. Politicians generally put their own interests, special interests who donate to their campaigns, and corporate donors first. It's just the nature of politics. But yeah Trump took it to an entirely new level. There's bad politicians that are bad within acceptable parameters, then there's a treasonous scumbag like Trump.

It is stupid and it plays to people like Lynched who eat this up. It wont be long until they figure out an angle to bring up Benghazi again.

January 25, 20214 yr America First https://news.yahoo.com/bidens-latest-executive-order-require-113404251.html Quote President Joe Biden will continue his flurry of executive orders on Monday, signing a new directive to require the federal government to "buy American” for products and services. Why it matters: The executive action is yet another attempt by Biden to accomplish goals administratively without waiting for the backing of Congress. The new order echoes Biden's $400 billion campaign pledge to increase government purchases of American goods. What they're saying: "President Biden is ensuring that when the federal government spends taxpayer dollars they are spent on American made goods by American workers and with American-made component parts," the White House said in a fact sheet. The big picture: Biden’s action kick offs another week in which the president will seek to undo many Trump policies with executive actions, while signaling the direction that he wants to take the country. Biden will also reaffirm his support for the Jones Act, which requires maritime shipments between American ports to be carried on U.S. vessels. Last week, Biden signed an order to attempt to raise the minimum wage for federal contractors and workers to $15 an hour. The bottom line: Former President Trump also attempted to force the federal government to rely on U.S. manufacturers for procurement with "buy American" provisions. But supply chains — with some parts and components made outside of the U.S. — require long and complicated efforts to boost domestic manufacturing.
January 25, 20214 yr I've been busy with work, there was a "gotcha" quote that Biden said nothing can be done about coronavirus? But he signed a bunch of EO's related to COVID. https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/22/politics/joe-biden-executive-orders-first-week/index.html Sorry if discussed in the covid topic, but overall how are people feeling about his initial response to it with these EO's?

Not a fan of EO's in general, but especially not ones rooted in protectionism. After 4 years of being told I had TDS though, all I'll say now is, you reap what you sow.
January 25, 20214 yr What he said specifically was that the trajectory of Covid for the next few months is not going to necessarily be changed. He can sign EOs, and put things in place, but there is no magic switch he can flip to get vaccinations rolled out faster or force states to adopt broader mandates. He's not entirely wrong. He's actually "shooting straight" and "telling it like it is." If Trump had actually been interested in leading the nation through the crisis, more things might be in place here. But where Trump was content to "leave it to the states" so that he could sit back and criticize, Biden appears to be more willing to leverage the federal government's centralized role. This gets into federalism but whatever.

A global pandemic ravaging virtually every country on the planet, and already killed 400k+ of our citizens.
