They want to suppress democrats. Given that blacks (though not all minorities) vote largely democratic, it's going to overlap. If you were to come up with a strategy that tried to reduce the number of democratic voters, it's going to suppress blacks in urban areas. I mean, I agree with your first statement but I would also argue that specifically targeting an ethnicity because of how they tend to vote is still racist as hell. Even if it isn't coming from a strictly "melanin bad" angle.

It's designed with democrats in mind, for sure. If urban blacks were voting Republican they'd find some other angle, if they thought it would give them an advantage. I don't think either party is particularly principled. They'll shift the rules however they can to their advantage. Democrats just aren't full insane.
January 21, 20223 yr Author I'm not an "everything is racist" guy, not even by a longshot. I often find myself puhsing back against that rhetoric. I think the term has been tossed around way too liberally (no pun intended) by the left in recent years. If anything, they've made these situations more difficult, so that when you're trying to call a spade a spade, a lot of people think you're just crying wolf. But I also think there's too much effort on the other side to limit usage of the term to notions of their crazy uncle who uses the tosses the n-word around a lot. Especially in this day and age, racism does not often take overt forms.

January 21, 20223 yr Quote BERLIN (Reuters) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz turned down an invite at short notice from U.S. President Joe Biden to discuss the Ukraine crisis, German magazine Der Spiegel said on Friday. Scholz did not accept the invitation due to a full schedule, including a trip to Madrid, as well as the desire to show that he was present as Germany grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Der Spiegel. Both sides hoped now to organize a meeting by mid-February. weird...jack probiotic left out some details. that's so unlike him.

The German Chancellor couldn't fit the U.S. President into his schedule when the purpose of the meeting might avert World war? Oh, yea, that's right. The pandemic supersedes a potential nuclear holocaust. What the hell was Biden thinking bothering the busy Germans anyway?
January 21, 20223 yr We know where a portion of those 28% of Biden supporters are. Right here in the good ol echo chamber of CVON
