"I got a call one night. A woman said to me — obviously not of the same persuasion as I was politically — called me and said, 'There's a dead dog on my lawn,'" the president recounted.

Biden said he recommended that the woman contact "the county," but she claimed to have already done so and demanded that the body be removed immediately, telling Biden she "paid his salary."

"So I went over there," he continued. "I picked it up. She said, 'I want it out of my yard,' so I put it on her doorstep."

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

Everyone I know has at least 10 Biden flags, one for every vote they plan to cast in the next election!

Yep. :DBecause there's so much proof that happened in the last election.

Pop Pop’s Vice President trashing America, giving aid and comfort to our enemy.

@VP : The truth is: there is racial discrimination in

America. There is xenophobia in America. Anti-
Semitism, Islamophobia, homosexuality, transgression,
all exist. Tackling injustice wherever it is, activity is
ahead.

There are over a million Iranian-Americans in the US, several hundred thousand speak Farsi. Does it surprise you to find out they experience xenophobia?

It’s so bad here, yet more and more people come here legally and illegally every year. Do you think they have it better in…France? Germany? Face it. There is no better place for people to immigrate to than America.

It doesn't make it right to treat them poorly. We can strive to be better.

Of course. But let’s stop acting like we are the worst place in the world when it comes to race relations. It’s the hyperbole that gets people up in arms.

I don't think VP Harris said America is the worst place in the world. Go back and read it again.

Tucker fellating Putin regularly on Fox News is giving more aid to the enemy than Harris is by stating that xenophobia and racism still exist in the US.

To be sure Democrats should be much more fully throated about loving what this nations means for so many Americans from so many cultures, races, and creeds. And they should be intellectually honest about the levels of racism here vs virtually any other nation on Earth. They have a real problem with acknowledging the tremendous progress made on those fronts, and how far ahead we are on the continuum of multiculturalism than any other place.

But Republicans also need to get real about their infatuation with right wing authoritarians from Eastern Europe.

Despite the fact that those two discussion points have nothing to do with another…I’m a registered Republican and F Putin.

Plenty of Democrats do.

Plenty of Democrats are stupid.

A lot of Republicans too.

What the stupid ones have in common is watching too much cable news. See our resident dotard who wants Tucker to run for president.

Both can be true. America is the greatest country on earth, but we still have flaws. I don't think its unpatriotic to acknowledge them.

There is no other country on earth that has as diverse a population as right here. Of course there will be occasional conflicts and issues aka flaws. It is inevitable. What I'M tired of hearing is how we're a systemically racist country and rank in the bottom 10 of worst countries for racial equality (https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/slideshows/worst-countries-for-racial-equality?slide=12) yet minorities come here in droves. Know why Canada, New Zealand, etc. rank among the top? It's because they utilize merit-based immigration policies. They only accept people who will be beneficial to their society. Here we accept anyone and everyone, regardless of what they bring to the table.

Biden: Securing a Made in America Supply Chain for Critical Minerals

Quote

Executive Order 14017 (E.O.), America’s Supply Chains, signed one year ago this week, ordered a review of vulnerabilities in our critical mineral and material supply chains within 100 days. In June, the Biden-Harris Administration released a first-of-its-kind supply chain assessment that found our over-reliance on foreign sources and adversarial nations for critical minerals and materials posed national and economic security threats.

In addition to working with partners and allies to diversify sustainable sources, the reports recommended expanding domestic mining, production, processing, and recycling of critical minerals and materials—all with a laser focus on boosting strong labor, environmental and environmental justice, community engagement, and Tribal consultation standards.

Today, President Biden will meet with Administration and state partners, industry executives, community representatives, labor leaders, and California Governor Gavin Newsom to announce major investments in domestic production of key critical minerals and materials, ensuring these resources benefit the community, and creating good-paying, union jobs in sustainable production.

There's a lot more detail in the fact sheet, but seems a good direction based on the summary. I haven't dived into details, but removing foreign entanglements from our supply chain for essential goods is a step in the right direction.

People will look back and really appreciate that the best president in American history really delivered.

It's so cute that he thinks he's going to be able to run for president in 2024.

I say the same thing about Biden.

Now that Putin and Biden are standing "toe to toe" it's clear Biden wasn't prepared for the likelihood of Putin running over his toes with a tank battalion.

I wonder if Biden called Putin to tell him the Satchel Page story yet.
