Yeah, but...who? Who under the age of 55 in the Democratic party can actually win a national election and isn't a lunatic?

I’m an intellectual so I tend to favor similar types. I liked Susan Rice, but I get that intellectual policy wonks don’t win.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

No they're not.  You're making crap up.    You don't have proof of who GOP voters are "listen to".  Stop

Unfortunately I think you're wrong on this.

Not sure how exactly Rice rocked the boat, but she was more qualified than Harris.

I know you're talking about Susan Rice, but I'd put Condi ahead of her

Don't mind him, he's forever in denial and totally blind to the smoldering pile of ashes that is the Republican party. Last summer a majority of GOP voters said Trump was still the president. Not that the election was stolen, but that he was the actual president behind the scenes. Mental illness is the only way you can explain it.

Even now, two thirds of voters still think the election was stolen. How the F can you get more fringe than that? It's insane. Utterly insane.

Doubt that would be received well at all among dem voters, nor that she'd be willing. Could be wrong though.

It will NEVER happen. NEVER HAPPEN. But there is one Democrat who is eligible to run in 2024 and would obliterate Trump if Biden steps down.

Michelle Obama.

I think the idea of Michelle Obama is probably better than the candidate Michelle Obama. She has no apparent love of being in the spotlight and I think her image can't go anywhere but down if people really get to know her more. That's not any of her fault, I just think people have built this image of her and it would be one of those "never meet your heroes" moments voters would have collectively.

Just my $.02. I like Michelle, I just think she would struggle and it would take the shine off her.

I'm not really sure who you're responding to lol. I was just saying if I'm going for a woman of color named Rice I'd probably put Condi ahead of Susan.

No.  You libs hope I’m wrong.  Because it fuels your obsessive talking points.  Speaking it into existence.

I'm not a lib. I just hate what my party has become but feel I'm better off staying registered republican and trying to reverse this slide towards insanity.

I would've liked Rubio in 2016 though he's turned into a bit of a turd who occasionally lapses into being a decent human being.

I'd vote for Cheney over Biden if she got the nomination in 2024.

But more than ideology I value competence. I'd rather have a marginally competent president who has trouble speaking (Biden) than an incompetent train wreck who doesn't care about the future of the nation beyond his lifetime (Trump).

This man, warts and all, was the Chuck Noll of presidents - historically great, but under appreciated.  He was sneaky, hated by many, conniving, but uber competent.

Hint: 4 touchdowns. One game.

Ok, great. Are you arguing that competence is overrated?

Because given who you've decided to support ... sure I buy that you believe that.

Are you accusing the great James K. Polk of being incompetent?

Secured Texas, the Southwest, California and the Oregon Territories in one term.  A Herculean accomplishment.  Like I said, warts and all.

By invading Mexico, lying about it to Congress, taking over Mexico City, and forcing them to cede much of their northern territory.

And he didn’t secure Oregon territory.  U.S. settlers had been moving there since the 1820s after the Transcontinental Treaty with Spain.

So did 70something million other American citizens that also have a president named Joe Biden. Your selection was rendered irrelevant by the majority.
