Anyone with any sense screamed for years that Trump just handed Iran a nuke on a silver platter the minute he tore up that agreement while his supporters bragged that he was going to renegotiate the greatest deal in the history of dealmaking. Meanwhile, he overpromised/underperformed/fell flat on his face as usual while Iran built their program back up. The right getting on Biden about Iran is the most delusional lunacy I've ever seen.

Any attempts to both sides this one died on January 6th. It would be one thing if the GOP were trying to actively distance themselves from Trump and his actions that day but they're literally doing the exact opposite.

Even if they were still a fiscally conservative party, which they aren't, yeah the whole "if you don't vote for us, we will use violence to overturn the election" is a deal breaker for me. This actually isn't new for the right, many were calling for violence after Obama was elected in 2008. It's just that the republicans were led by an honorable man back then.
April 12, 20223 yr WSJ: Federal Budget Deficit Narrowed 71% in March From Year Earlier The federal budget ran a $193 billion deficit during March, a 71% decline from a year earlier, as the government took in more in tax and other revenue while spending edged lower despite higher interest costs on the public debt. Federal outlays in March fell by 45% to $508 billion, the Treasury Department reported Tuesday, reflecting a sharp decline in pandemic-related spending. Government receipts for the month rose by 18% from a year earlier to $315 billion, not adjusting for calendar differences, the Treasury said. The deficit’s decline last month extended a trend of a shrinking federal budget shortfall this fiscal year, which began last October. That reflects a pullback in federal spending in recent months as programs such as enhanced unemployment benefits and pandemic stimulus payments have ended. It also shows that low unemployment and a growing economy are supporting larger tax collections. Government receipts through March totaled $2.1 trillion, a record for the first six months of the fiscal year, Treasury officials said. The cumulative deficit in the current fiscal year through March stood at $668 billion, a 61% decline from the roughly $1.7 trillion shortfall during the same period a year earlier. slowly cleaning up Trump's mess.

Quick, point out which policies Biden passed that resulted in gas prices rising immediately! It's dumb to blame Ukraine for the bulk of the inflation, though the war is certainly going to have an impact. But piling it on Biden is also disingenuous. It's a multifaceted issue and Biden shares some blame, but the bulk of it is simply a side effect of the pandemic response. I wouldn't even "blame" Trump for it in that regard, because the alternative would likely have been worse economically. Inflation is at the forefront of everyone's mind, but most economic indicators are quite good. We need to work off the money printing (most of which happened in 2020 btw), but while it will be painful we're in a good position to do so relative to many other nations.
