That's the profit margin over the crude price for refiners. Usually when crude drops, prices drop slowly and crack spreads increase -- it's been the opposite this time. That's coming from speculation in gasoline and expected demand destruction -- the supply is unchanged or even a little higher, and the summer demand just isn't there. Basically, everyone leaned one way starting in late March, and now they've all been caught. tell us more about the liquidity of your crack spreads!

Yeah confederate flags flying over government buildings, tributes to slavery, separate churches for whites and blacks tend to bother me. I guess you're a better person for being able to look the other way and not let it bother you.

July 7, 20223 yr As if it matters. Any town I named is going to get answered with "oh I’ve been there a ish load of times. There’s no racism or confederate ball licking there! It’s a bastion of multicultural creaminess!”. Meanwhile, I lived there. I know what I saw.

We have been eye balling Leland, Shallote, Southport and others. Surf City should only be about 35 minutes further north. But I left in 2017. Could be different traffic patterns, and most likely a lot of development since then.

We have been eye balling Leland, Shallote, Southport and others. I was just in Southport. Special kind of vibe there. A water town but not a beach town. Go to Oak Island if you want the beach. Driving to Oak Island from Southport is only 15 mins though so you can go beach it that way and still be in Southport if you want the rest of the Southport vibe.

Fairly wealthy almost bohemian undercurrent. Some talk about a "pirate life" vibe as well. The town could be a super charming New England town on the water (they used the site to film Dawson's Creek which was set in Cape Cod) if it wasn't for the Spanish moss hanging on many of the trees. Charming at every turn. Walking around you get a town dominated by the water but also by the live oak trees which are all over the place. The houses are super well kept with southern porches and advanced garden work in the yards. Plenty of cool little art galleries, antique shops, etc. mixed in with eclectic little cafes and restaurants. There are a couple of drinking "clubs" down on the water that are cool. You have to buy a $1 membership good for a year to get in. Live music all over the place, dudes strumming guitars, etc. Overall a place to hang out all day and evening BUT not late into the night. A fine dining spot or two but the real dining feel is outdoors in a shaded garden or out on a dock over the water. Note: Things may change in the summer as the town swells and there are more families there if I've understood correctly. I've only been there in the fall and spring.
July 8, 20223 yr This is the White House Assistant Press Secretary. While I don’t think it’s much of an issue of what he said, it’s not a good look when you try to cover it up when it’s clear on what he said.
