Yeah, unlike others I say things I regret later and make mistakes. I've apologized to many, wished people well on election night, and moved on. If you want to have some weird obsession with me go for it. I only apologize once and haven't talked about that stuff much since Nov 2020.

In diehard's defense he was one of (the only?) Trump-ish guys who manned up after Trump was toast.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

Something soft Trump supporters really should understand is that Trump had an historically easy run as President .. for three years.

He was handed a healthy economy, and faced no major crisis his first three years. He coasted. Had nothing to do with his policies - he was simply fortunate.

He faced exactly one major crisis his entire time in office and failed spectacularly while trying to blame everyone else for his failures.

Biden by contrast was handed a crap sandwich that keeps getting crappier. Some of his policies have not helped, but a lot of what Biden is having to deal with are things a president - any president - has no control over. Because we have a limited government.

That doesn't make hoping the Supreme Court chooses our next president instead of the actual voters any less retarded.

Context matters.

"He is going to steal it anyway according to people here,"

Key words: According to people here and yeah I was talking crap. That doesn't translate to hoping.

Somehow me coming in and genuinely saying I hope Biden finishes his term turns into let's dig up crap I said two years ago. Unless you have a thing for me let it go and move on.

It's good that he apologized then, but that's all kinda tarnished when he still supports autocracy over democracy. It's clear by his words that he doesn't want a democratically elected president, he wants a self-appointed king so long as the king does stuff he likes. It's so thoroughly unamerican that I can't even wrap my head around the idea of someone having those beliefs and thinking they're being even remotely patriotic.

"Bend over, they have the Supreme Court". Lmao.

Yeah, I was talking crap and ended up being wrong. I thought it might turn out like the 2000 race. It happens.

I'm not apologizing for voting for anyone on the conservative side in a general vs the Democrats who I personally feel are trying to destroy the country. That doesn't mean I think the GOP are much better. That doesn't mean I'll like the person on a personal level. I've also made it clear I hope he doesn't run, but I don't get a say. We'll disagree on a lot of things here. Honestly, I may just say home for the primary and general and probably won't vote in the fall. That doesn't mean I support anything you just said.

You wanted it to happen. You wanted the guy that lost to be given the office anyway....because. Like I said, it's odd.

that's a pretty radical stance, no?  i mean...i get disagreeing with some policies or their general philosophy...but do you actually think they're intentionally trying to destroy the country they live in?

Cool. This is going in circles. I don't even remember you, but you seem to have a thing for me. Wish you well and I'm going to try and go back to my day.

Everything you've said today tells me, you will without a doubt vote for him again in November '24. I've seen enough of these "I'm not a trump supporter but..." types of posts over the last 6 years to know how this movie ends, which is with you filling in the bubble next to his name on that ballot for a third time.

there's a segment of the population who genuinely believe that democrats are trying to destroy the country...so they are going to vote repug every time no matter what name is next to the R.

similar story on the other side.

I wouldn't call it radical when the far left who is taking over the party come out and talk about turning us socialist/communist while people like Joe Manchin are left behind. I think some GOP members are putting us on a bad path as well in another direction.

idk...the far left candidates were left in the dust in the 2020 dem primaries...the party chose biden...the most centrist option.

whackadoodles on each extreme do exist though..no doubt.

Yep, and the irony is, Trump literally tried to destroy the foundation of democracy, the very thing people like diehard here claim the democrats are doing. He's completely oblivious to the actual threat he claims he's trying to guard against. Which is why I don't believe him when he says he might not vote for Trump again in 2 years. We all know he will, because he's in a cult and that's what cultists do.

Who was number two again? Take away super delegates and it might have been closer. It's becoming a big faction. That doesn't mean people like MTG are any better.

I might not vote at all is what I said.

 See? He wants to talk about super delegates when his party didn't even have a primary. I love it.

super-distant 2nd though.  joe got 69% of the delegates to bernie's 27%. that's a shellacking. the dem party spoke & rejected the far left.

No many sitting presidents have someone run against them who comes close. You sound like a great guy to get along with though. I hope Trump doesn't run turns into a few pages of but you still like him.

The problem is that the Dems in Congress decided to push a lot of the far left agenda, like the original BBB bill. It didn't pass, but Biden was dumb to allow himself to get tarred with it. He feels this need to pander to the far left...he needs to just ignore them and dare them to repeat 2016 and stay home so they get Trump.

Sorry, but you don't get to complain about how the opposition runs their primary when your party doesn't even have one. Like, I'm sure it makes sense in your head, but it comes across as completely crazy to everyone else. Just like when you said you'll probably end up voting for a guy who wipes his ass with the constitution in order to save the country from going down a path of destruction. I've seen birds with more self-awareness than this.

All true and in fact always the case when one reviews the performance of a POTUS.  However, the vast majority of American voters/citizens can't get their heads around this much info and they simply attribute everything to the guy currently in office.

We're basically at a place where anyone with a functioning understanding of economics and incentive structures, as well as a belief in the virtues of limited government, has nowhere to turn. The economic policies espoused by the Democrats (e.g., Medicare for all, forgive student debt, etc.) are destructive and just a continuation of the awful policies they've been pushing since FDR (Social Security, Medicaid, Welfare, etc.). They are a slow road to hell that bankrupts the country, destroys incentive structures and crushes the economic engine that made the USA the world's hegemon.

But the alternative doesn't believe in democracy and is led by imbeciles with no actual principles.

This is why I'm happy not to have kids.
