CDC estimated back in April that thru Feb '22 60% of all Americans and 75% of all American kids had had COVID.  That was five months back so those numbers would now be quite a bit higher.  Of course, that's if you believe the CDC.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

Completely agree with what? You keep saying "everyone's already got covid" which I refuted, then you say my neighborhood is an anomaly, when it's not. And now you are back to this binary language of the vaccines being unable to "stop the spread", which to be clear, wouldn't have been true even for the original variant because we unfortunately live in country where over a third of the population failed to make the correct choice for the easiest medical decision of their lifetimes.

The vaccine has not stopped the spread of the variants is what I said.  You tried to draw some pointless distinction between which variant which I said made no difference.  You then tried to use your neighborhood as some example of how the infection rate was not as bad as it really is.  I made fun of you, you got upset and now you're confused as to how we got here.

I get that you want to defend Trump's vaccine despite it shortcomings, but sometimes you just gotta use common sense, ya know?

Then by your binary standard, no vaccines have ever "stopped the spread" of viral pathogens, they have only ever slowed the spread of them with one exception. Only smallpox has been effectively eradicated.

And again, I used my neighborhood as an example to refute your claim that everyone already got covid. The only one here that's confused is you, evidenced by you telling me my neighborhood example was an anomaly and that the majority of Americans already got covid, because you apparently couldn't do the math to figure out that 3 out of 5 is 60%, and does indeed meet the definition of the term "majority". Hope you're all caught up now that I had to spoon feed this all to you.

You ever think about starting a thread where you just diagnose people’s problems?

Thank god we have you here to take everything literally and to educate us on the pointless nuances of the discussions we are trying to have.

No

Not a problem

There’s nothing I hate more than the word nuance because it reminds me of Dr. Philly posts, but the absolutes that have accompanied the pandemic drive me nuts. Just as an example, the idea that because someone got Covid that vaccines don’t work. Or because someone didn’t die from Covid that it’s not that bad.

It is great to know that every time that words pops up it irritates you

No one is using absolutes.  I've only pointed out that the current vaccine is not effective at stopping the spread of the mutated variants.  Why everyone here feels the need to fight me on something that is blatantly obvious is beyond me.

Good Lord, hunt. That’s like an Arthur Jackson joke

We should have a tally to see who wins between TJ posts that mention "emotional" and DrPhilly posts that mention "nuance". Honorable mention goes to the number of ipiggles posts that mention "russian collusion".

you just don't understand the nuance of a proper dad joke.

It was the president who told us that if you get vaccinated, you won't catch Covid. Are you saying that we can't trust the president?

Yes, thanks to Dr. Philly.  I only believe in talking in absolutes.  It’s either black or it’s white. There’s no such thing as gray.

Which was true at the time. I’m not sure injecting bleach as the previous president suggested was ever a good idea.

That's just wrong. But also completely right.

Perhaps with proper pronunciation.

Let some georgie chav say it and the "nuance", as it were, may be lost along with the cleanliness of the speaker's tracksuit.

America's baby formula shame: Biden's 53 flights of foreign back-up is only enough to feed infants for a week... leaving shelves still bare and forcing moms to take matters into their own hands

  • Since May, the White House has flown in enough formula for 60million bottles - enough for just one week
  • The most recent flights brought only enough to make 802,446 bottles 8oz bottles
  • The formula shortage began six months ago with the sudden closure of the Abbott plant in Sturgis, Michigan
  • Despite slashing red tape to allow foreign products to be parachuted in, Biden has not eased the crisis
  • Abbott's plant has finally reopened but workers must now scramble to make up for a four-month shortfall
  • The company produces 40% of all of the formula in the US so its closure knee-capped the supply chain
  • Despite Biden's efforts, store shelves remain bare and mothers are rationed on how much they can buy
  • Now, mothers tell DailyMail.com how they are scouring Facebook groups and relying on donated breastmilk
