Here is the dumb part: It is not up to Biden to open schools. Or McConnell. Or Trump. Or the teachers unions, school administrators, etc. They can make whatever statements they want, but it doesn't change any reality. It is up to the virus, the vaccine and herd immunity.

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

Undeserved fealty to a confirmed loser.

George HW Bush was a noble, decent man who knew to fade away from the spotlight. He was the anti-Trump.

Bush lost the party to Reagan in 1980. But both men were smart enough to realize they were stronger together, instead of working apart. Trump won't share the stage with anybody. That's a big difference.

It appears that even Democrats recognize that there is danger in having someone suffering from dementia in the white house.

REDUCING ‘REAL RISKS’: Nearly three dozen House Democrats on Monday called on Biden to relinquish his sole authority to launch nuclear weapons, in the latest appeal to reform the command-and-control structure so that no single person can initiate a nuclear war.

"...Vesting one person with this authority entails real risks,” states the letter spearheaded by Rep. Jimmy Panetta of California. "Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or exhibited behavior that caused other officials to express concern about the president’s judgment.“

"While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so,” the letter adds. "The military is obligated to carry out the order if they assess it is legal under the laws of war. Under the current posture of U.S. nuclear forces, that attack would happen in minutes.”

They offer a number of alternatives, including requiring other officials in the line of succession, such as the vice president and the speaker of the House — "neither of whom can be removed by the president if they disagree — to concur with a launch order.”

And also, the CDC only publishes guidelines, so ultimately it's up to the states to make informed decisions on whether to open schools, not the CDC. The states can use discretion when deciding whether or not to follow the guidelines.

What do you mean "even Democrats"? When were any Republicans concerned about a demented President launching a nuclear attack?

I wonder which "past Presidents" judgment they are talking about?

Does it mean you don't have dementia if you can correctly recite the words: person woman terrorist broken glass pipe bombs?

Bonus points if you get them in the right order

Actually, its because they are more afraid of whatever nut the republicans will vote into office next. Better to change it now while we can before President Marjorie Taylor Green decides Q wants her to nuke France.

Trump supporters calling out anyone other politician for dementia or imbecility...

What Pinko news source are you using these days, comrade?

Worst four words to spoken at the White House:

Joe: "Kamala, I feel sick."

Yes, clearly the end of Trump's administration was consumed with....arresting sex offenders.  I remember all through November, December and January, when he'd talk tirelessly about it, tweet about it, hold rallies where he'd talk non-stop about arresting sex offenders.  It was definately his #1 priority.

Was that before or after he wished them well?

I'm glad you've opted to doubling down on the Trump knob slobbing instead of denying you ever really supported him.

In between rage tweeting about losing the election, golfing, watching fox news to validate his feelings, and crying into his diet cokes, he was obsessively tracking these criminals down!

The Senate parliamentarian ruled that the min. wage increase must be removed from the reconciliation bill. Regardless of my personal position on min. wage, I think this was the correct ruling. The reconciliation process has been abused lately, and putting min. wage in the bill would've really opened up a can of worms. It was a pretty short-sighted attempt by the Democrats.
