Biden is doing just what is needed so far. Funny that's' what the country cares about. He can ram through as many executive orders as he wants as long as he doesn't tweet.

Every president uses them and typically does so to reverse what the last guy did. When I do criticize an EO, it's usually because someone like Trump is specifically directing some portion of the executive branch to not enforce an existing law that is not clearly violating a Constitutional provision.

Trumpism in 2020 was basically pretending the Coronavirus didn’t exist and that racial issues in policing weren’t a problem. the equivalent to someone putting their fingers in their ears and yelling "Lalala.”

Nobody should be proud of their performance in 2020.
March 8, 20214 yr Just now, The Norseman said: I'm talking about those of you who were enraged at the EOs that Trump enacted I guess it depends on why someone was enraged about EOs. If they were enraged because they saw them as bad policy, then it's specific to the EO. If they saw them as Presidential overreach, then it shouldn't matter what the EO says or does. It's the principal of EOs period.

March 8, 20214 yr 76% of americans and the majority of repugs favor the dem's covid response plan...yet not 1 repug senator voted for it. 🤡🌎

I've always opposed the process. But like you said, it stings less when its things you agree with...much like the filibuster.
March 8, 20214 yr Just now, The Norseman said: I've always opposed the process. But like you said, it stings less when its things you agree with...much like the filibuster. So you oppose Trump or any President gutting regulations via Executive Order?
March 8, 20214 yr Author 5 minutes ago, The Norseman said: They shouldn't exist. They exist because the Executive Branch is massive and sprawling, while the laws it's tasked with administering are broad and intricate. The President is largely an administrator, and like in any business or institution, administrators are given considerable leeway for how to interpret and execute the responsibilities that they are tasked with administering.

Limited use of EOs probably makes sense in emergency situations, but I'd much prefer important things be tried in the court of public opinion and passed into law through congress.
