After that I've tried to watch everything he's done. When you pair Sorkin's writing with actors who can deliver it well it's beautiful. Daniels killed that role in The Newsroom, but IMO the supporting cast was just OK. I liked it well enough though. In The West Wing though you had Sheen, Lowe, Whitford, Schiff and the criminally underrated Allison Janney who could all crush a good Sorkin monologue.

You are either trolling or helplessly ignorant. Or both. Either way, enjoy looking like a fool. Its always the same with you, you drop irreverent arguments and try to overcomplexity things so that you can paint the illusion that you are smarter than everyone else. Then when you get challenged you just drop insults on everyone and pretend that you're too smart to engage in the debate. The fact is that neither of your rantings over net interest or gross interest change the fact that mandatory spending is the bulk of our national debt and the big three social programs make that up. Seems to me that you and I agree that dramatic reforms are needed to all these programs, but don't worry, I don't expect you to admit that.
March 11, 20214 yr All I know about any of this is my 401k is so full it's about to pop. Thank you Joe Biden!

That said, Biden's polls want stay this high for long. Once the memory of Trump wears off he'll be on his own. He wasn't popular as a VP and I suspect that trend to continue. Ah, so you agree that Trump was an absolute failure. Glad to hear it.

Seriously, are you having a stroke or something? I answered one point you made which was incorrect. I never said a word about mandatory spending, the deficit, etc. That's just you trying to move the goalposts.

From the video: We lead the world in 3 categories: 1. number of people incarcerated 2. Number of people who think angels are real 3. and defense spending LOL! Sad but true.

I love making money, but I'm also smart enough to know where it comes from and that much of this recent market boom is from the government printing money. And before you make this territorial, I'd say the same thing about the affect of the stimulus under Trump.

March 11, 20214 yr One of the biggest things Biden can do for a few years at least is put real judges on the bench that have more qualifications than just having watched an episode of law and order. It is projected by this time next year, the courts will have roughly 500 Democratic appointees versus 380 Republican appointees. https://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2021/Pres/Maps/Mar06.html#item-1 As you can see, there are currently 20 more active Republican appointees than Democratic appointees. However, there are currently 69 open seats—60 on the district courts, 5 on the courts of appeals, 3 on the court of federal claims, and 1 on the court of international trade. Since judges can't be filibustered, Joe Biden will be filling all of those in the next year or so. In addition, there are around 40 judges who are on the cusp of assuming senior status (including many Reagan and Bush appointees). So, by this time next year, the courts will have roughly 500 Democratic appointees versus 380 Republican appointees." "
March 12, 20214 yr Tonight’s presidential address was a grand slam. I’d say Biden officially passes Lincoln and Jefferson in terms of his greatness as president.

March 12, 20214 yr 8 hours ago, Gannan said: Yeah its become a retirement program. People want to retire whether they've actually saved for retirement or not. Most people with good careers would do better putting the money taken out for SS in their own 401ks, but its amazing how many people don't have a career or a 401K. I remember being shocked that nearly half of adults don't pay income tax. SS isn't going anywhere. I remember when Bush even floated the idea of privatizing it and his own base freaked out over the idea. It's wildly popular. Norse lives in his own reality. He'd do well in the flat earth thread. The interesting thing about privatizing SS is that it would get the benefit of the Fed put. It would always "perform well” in nominal terms if not in real terms.
