  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

You realize Trump did better in Philly in 2020 than he did in 2016 right?  So I guess the claim is that Trump committed voter fraud to get more people to vote for him?  Ok if you so say....

Kz be like

We should ALL be celebrating -- an incompetent reality TV show clown will no longer be president.  Duh - that's what the world is celebrating.

Oh boy, here we go. Here’s where we get a change in government and Dave Miss jumps in to defend the new president of any and all criticism.

Ever wonder why minorities don’t support Libertarian candidates?  I can spell it out for you if necessary...

Yeah, except that the libertarians are super against cops and things like the 94 crime bill.

Dont get it twisted. Much of the world loves one thing about the US  And that’s getting our money.  That was happening less with trump.

Other nations love the dems in power  because of their aoft i negotiations and easily manipulated out of OUR money. They see this as an opportunity to swindle some sweet trade deals that will benefit them not us

Outrage? This is a discussion about a meme and I’m giving my POV the same as you.

Don’t bother, your opinion on race or the LP has little value to me.

I guess we will see at the end of his four years whether or not we are better off.  I have a couple of family members that were literally dancing in the streets over this - oddly however, these past four years he has seen major success at a stable job, was able to buy a brand new home - one they had built- while his wife stays home with the kids and were able to start saving and investing for the first time. Under Obama they had to short sell their house and he had to change jobs several times while she had to do some part time jobs in between.  I guess if it makes you and your family happier to struggle but at least the guy in the White House isn’t as cringey that’s what matters for them 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hoping the Republican Party can pull together a respectable ticket in four years.

Middle class middle aged white guy here. Things were working much better under Obama, and I paid a lower net income tax under Obama. I voted for Gary Johnson in 2012 and was not a fan of how Obama governed but he was Lincoln compared to Trump. Trump has been an incompetent idiot. The right ascribed all of these qualities to Trump that simply did not exist.

Statement from GWB today.

You are too cynical and your statement is unequivocally false and appears to be parroting some sort of U.S. right-wing radio talking point.

Many across the globe have looked to the US as a land of hopes and dreams, a beacon of freedom, of enterprise, of culture and learning.  And they were legitimately shocked - shocked and bewildered -- to see such a crass, uncultured, unsophisticated, anti-intellectual neophyte leading a country that has inspired many, as well as helped save the world from similarly crass, greedy and uncultured leaders in the 1940s.    It is not just about our money.  Your thinking is wrong-headed, provincial and naïve.  I've traveled extensively around the world, I know people in many countries.  You couldn't be more wrong.

You really think Mademoiselle in her apartment in Paris is thinking about a trade deal?   Get real buddy - these are real people, not politicians or global merchants, that are setting off fireworks, ringing bells and cheering.   Your cynicism and labelling of all people to be of that greedy sort, sadly led to Trumpism.

My dear sir, you are incredibly wrong, good day to you.

I didn’t claim he flipped any switch - if you choose to believe the economy was thriving despite Trump like I said - we will see at the end of Biden’s term.

Economy is killing it right now. Record low unemployment. National debt in check. GDP through the roof. Dollar dollar bills y'all!

I don’t necessarily disagree and I hope he tries to make it better as POTIS. He still has a bit of a "Reefer Madness” attitude on marijuana. It would have been nice if he had this change of heart before he was running for POTUS for the third time. If I waited as long as he did, I’d still be a young earth creationists in here arguing  dinosaurs and man coexisted.

It's ridiculous. And honestly, a huge missed opportunity by Trump. He F'ed up huge by not capitalizing on that. A glaring Biden weakness went to waste. What a moron.

I doubt it.  Part of the reason it accelerated is because of Trump’s trade wars.  I don’t see Biden continuing in that direction.

A political party that wants to stop the federal government from policing racism and discrimination in hiring doesn’t get much support from minorities.  Amazing, right???

From the NY Times: this not totally clear but I am not wearing a mask in my car

While Mr. Biden would like to see a national mask mandate, his advisers have concluded that he does not have the legal authority to impose one. So he will try to increase mask wearing in other ways. He has already said that, as president, he would require masks on all federal property, an executive order that could have wide reach and is likely to come in the first hours or days of his presidency.

In addition to mandating masks in federal buildings, Mr. Biden has said he would require them on "all interstate transportation.”

I would guess public transportation

Maybe there are political parties that don’t look to the federal government to solve all their issues or they think  the state and local governments would be more effective. Maybe there are political parties that think that the federal government actually makes things worse for the people they try to help.

The part where decades later he seems to have had a change of heart on quite a few topics. Nice to have a guy with some flexibility in office. Imagine that, a guy can age, and as he does so start to see the other side of some issues.

Yeah, very convenient......
