I don't know a lot about the Iranian deal, been managing more important things in my life. But it sounds like we've held their money hostage for decades. And we're getting Americans in return.

I think we should have gotten a more equitable deal. Money or Iranian citizens, not both. But I don't know the situation well enough to speculate more.

Whose money was it?  Was it the Iranian mullah's money or the Iranian people's money?  If we release the money, who will get access to it and what will it be used for?

  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

NK had a nuke already and conducted its first nuclear test during W's admin.  Reagan got the hostages back that Jimmy Carter couldn't and did not give them money.  They were scared of him.  You weren't even born yet and are talking out of your butt.  Let the adults discuss this.  Maybe you'll learn something.

I get a kick out of people like you who weren't even born yet and have no clue how that hostage drama gripped the nation but pretend to be experts on it.  It's comical, but it's sad for somebody like you because you're closed minded and not willing to learn.  I'll bet you don't even know when the hostages were released.

President Donald Trump has a number of unorthodox theories about politics. But his theory of why exercise is bad for you is the strangest I’ve heard yet.

"Other than golf, he considers exercise misguided, arguing that a person, like a battery, is born with a finite amount of energy,” writes Evan Osnos in a piece entitled "How Trump Could Get Fired” that appears in the May 8, edition of the New Yorker.

That’s far from the first time we’ve heard that Trump and exercise aren’t friends. This, from a February 6 piece in Axios: "The only workout Trump gets is an occasional round of golf. Even then, he mostly travels by cart. On the campaign trail he viewed his rallies as his form of exercise.”

In their revelatory book "Trump Revealed,” the Washington Post’s Mike Kranisch and Marc Fisher wrote more extensively about Trump’s "battery” theory of energy:

After college, after Trump mostly gave up his personal athletic interests, he came to view time spent playing sports as time wasted. Trump believed the human body was like a battery, with a finite amount of energy, which exercise only depleted. So he didn’t work out. When he learned that John O’Donnell, one of his top casino executives, was training for an Ironman triathlon, he admonished him, "You are going to die young because of this.”

And then there was this from a 2015 New York Times magazine profile of Trump:
Trump said he was not following any special diet or exercise regimen for the campaign. ”’All my friends who work out all the time, they’re going for knee replacements, hip replacements — they’re a disaster,” he said. He exerts himself fully by standing in front of an audience for an hour, as he just did. ‘That’s exercise.’”

It's just insane that they named a massive spending bill the "inflation reduction act" that's packed with a mind-numbing amount of wasteful spending, then they criticize people who didn't vote for the bill that's very clearly having the opposite effect of what it's named. And none of it matters because liberals are so stupid they don't care if their purchasing power is slowly (or rapidly) chipped away.

"The American Action Forumreckons the tariffs on items like toys, paint and soap, cost consumers about $50 billion a year.“

Biden never ended the tarriffs like he claimed he would and the orange clown is campaigning on adding more tariffs. Point is, trump is as responsible for inflation as anyone.

He can afford it, now that Joe is POTUS he is doing better than ever!

Well it's not his fault Saudia Arabia wont produce more oil and will not lower the cost per barrell.

The sooner we can end our depedence on Saudi oil the better off we will be as a Nation.

Biden has actually increased drilling and domestic energy production. History will treat him kinder than his contemporaries.

It's hard to sever the ties.  Even if we're not buying Saudi, OPEC or Russian oil, production cuts by them will still jack up the price.

Imagine thinking a 3.7% inflation rate using cooked numbers is a good thing. "Well it's lower than the two worst years of inflation the nation has ever experienced consecutively, that means the inflation reduction act is working!"

Honestly, this is what I mean when I say it's the dumbest cult on the planet.

It’s the decimal point that completely f’ks your brain up isn’t it? My daughter learned decimal points in like 2nd or 3rd grade. Fortunately she couldn’t register to vote because she was only like 8 years old. She’s learning algebra now, they use letters and stuff. Algebra is going to f’ng wreck you!

You're honestly crowing about a 3.7% inflation rate. Holy sheet communists are retarded.
