Crap like this one are relatively harmless, but others can have more serious ramifications. Especially among the gullible MAGA Morons. Something tells me you weren't complaining about deep fakes after it was made clear that the left made up the Russia collusion story. Or when the former intelligence officers wrote off the Hunter Biden laptop story as Russian disinformation. Stop being a baby.

Do we forget that the Trump campaign was sharing internal polling with Russia? And while the Steele dossier turned out to be more salacious than credible, Russian bot farms are rampant on social media amplifying MAGA for American audiences?

There was some fire where there was smoke, thanks to Manafort being an idiot. But, the overwhelming amount of media attention and investigation derived from the contents of the Steele dossier. Millions of taxpayer dollars were spent chasing that ghost. No apologies have been made. Very few media corrections have been issued.

So it's cool that Russia has been doing everything it can to mislead American voters because opposition research for Trump from 2016 turned out to be inaccurate? Yeah that makes sense. One badly sourced dossier means we can deflect from Russia's interference indefinitely as long as it's helping Trump.

Everyone knew from the beginning that Russia was trying to manipulate votes via social media. Hell, they did it in this election. But using that as justification for the nonsense that the media took us through for 4 years is a major movement of the goal posts.

People on this very board are in denial about Russia's influence on our elections. What nonsense did "the media" take us through? Right wing media - Fox and everyone to the right of them - spent four years fawning over Trump, then the next four years being hypercritical of Biden while revising history around Trump, January 6th, and going to far as to defend his "right" to retain classified materials in Mar-a-Lago. The supposed "liberal" media has also spent the better part of the last four years being critical of Biden, especially the NY Times. While the editorial boards of some major newspapers still endorsed Joe, he was still held to a much higher standard by the 'liberal" media than Fox/etc. ever held Trump to. The media may well have tilted left at one point, but the reality is that especially during the Trump era the major news "entertainment" networks have shifted the Overton window for Trump while maintaining it for Biden/etc.

But CNN and MSNBC are as bad if not worse on the left. Washington Post and New York Times are only marginally better. The main reason mainstream media is bleeding viewers is that nobody trusts them anymore. I'm not going through the details of the bias. If you only acknowledge the bias on Fox then you're just choosing not to see it.

I think since Murdoch's children have taken more of a role, Fox News has moderated somewhat. I watch very little TV news except local station streaming apps. They do little national or international news and what they do air are significant events.

There was Hannity and Colmes instead of just Hannity, they tried to offset O'Reilly with a somewhat apolitical Greta Van Susteren. If anything they were more more about sensationalism. But it wasn't long before they realized they were attracting so many viewers of one type they just said to heck with it and tipped all the way over.

Had zero to do with the direction the country was going on. Just admit you supporter a loser - a bad Jimmy Carter like loser.

We were talking about the Russia collusion nonsense that was spewed 24 / 7 by all the networks but Fox. We were also talking about the media burying the Hunter Biden story right before the election, without even trying to fact check it. If you want to list out Fox's transgressions over the years I'd be happy to have that conversation, but it isn't what we were talking about.

The biggest "news" network was successfully sued for lying to cover for the Republican president. For as "liberal" as the media is supposed to be, they've never covered for any Democratic president to that level. And the NYT and others have been very critical of Biden and Hillary for the last 15 years.

It looks like there was a valid reason to keep it off the platform. Quote X responded by blocking links to the material, claiming that it contained sensitive personal information such as the Ohio US senator’s social security number, and banned Klippenstein from the platform. The materials published by Klippenstein on his Substack in September appear to be related to a hack of the Trump campaign earlier this year, which the FBI has linked to Iran. Documents from the hack have been shared with several media outlets, which have chosen to not publish them. Media outlets did not reach the same decision when they gave significant attention to files from Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign that had been hacked and leaked by Russian intelligence before she ultimately lost that election to Trump.

Fox's success at getting its viewers to internalize its propaganda is unrivaled. The only criticism they ever got was because they were seen as not propagandizing hard enough for Trump. Which probably led them to the Dominion settlement, chasing viewers they were bleeding off to more insane networks.
