I think Howie and Jeff let their feelings for Montae influence the pick, too. Montae played for the Eagles. So, I think some of it had to do with that.

Montae was only here briefly.  Jeff McLane reported that the scouting department argued energetically for Jefferson, but Howie overruled them because he wanted speed.
