I'm just saying that the system itself isn't the biggest issue. Scrambling in it of itself isn't bad, but scrambling is bad when he has a perfectly clean pocket and spins in circles and holds the ball. Sometimes it works, other times he does it and holds the ball and misses a wide open Sanders for a walk in TD.

His ability to go through his progressions has been an issue since college. We're now towards the end of his second season in the NFL and he's still struggling. That's not encouraging. 

The irony is that I would love for Hurts to become an amazing passer to go along with his ability to buy time. People (stupidly) think I'd rather waste time hoping the next guy is the answer. No, I'd rather the answer be in house, but he needs to show it. At the very least, he bought himself next season, but he needs to become a more consistent and reliable passer. 

I beat a dead horse because people are legitimately arguing his passing is fine, he's indestructible and that his running ability is the best in football. Someone just today said his third TD was the best move he's ever seen an NFL player do.

No, I don't have an emotional investment in the argument, just looking for objective analysis. You might not be aware of it but you exaggerate information to make your point. There aren't a lot of people proposing that his passing is fine, he's indestructible or that his running ability is the best in football. It appears that when individuals say these things, you get triggered and need to defend your position. So, strike a nerve? look in the mirror dude.

I’m with you. This guy has those intangibles that can’t be taught. A willingness to strive for greatness. We have seen so many guys in the past just get by on their given abilities, but there have been far too few guys in Philly who take what they’re given but work to be more. It’s that Mamba/Jordan refuse to lose mentality. This town should want this guy to succeed instead of constantly trying to tear him down.

KaBoom. I suggest Ben Simmons visit this post, look at how Hurts handles his business, and imitate him. It would change his life forever.

Simmons could be the greatest player in basketball if he ever committed himself to being that guy. Quite sad how coddled and confused he is. A complete waste of talent. Hurts is talented and is striving to be better. This kid is like a live version of Rocky.

There are though, this is the problem, but all right. 

I'm not triggered, I'm talking about the starting QB for the Eagles. Of any player on the roster, he would likely be the most talked about/praised/criticized, yeah?

For someone that has no investment one way or another, you certainly have a lot to say.

His passing is fine, he's largely indestructible and his running ability is top tier.

He's not as fast, quick, explosive as Lamar,  but it sometimes it appears that Jalen has superior composure,  maybe a bit more relaxed under pressure, in big games, maybe.  But Jalen hasn't really been in a big game in the NFL yet. 
 

Most NFL QBs are worse than Jalen and Lamar.

On a week by week basis,  one or the other,  Hurts or Lamar, could be banged up,  making the other faster that week.

Both at 100%,  Lamar is faster.  Hurts is the one who has the height, weight, speed of a big rb. Lamar is a little bit taller and lighter.

Or is Howard the Running Back, and Sanders is a Slot Receiver,  going in motion?

Perhaps the Eagles could run the wishbone, and have 3 running backs back there,  plus Hurts,  and the Eagles could run 64 times,   each of the running backs getting 16 runs, and Hurts getting 16 runs.

The easiest way to get one running back to get more carries than Hurts is to keep that running back on the field for as many snaps as Hurts gets.

Put aside other arguments and evaluations of Hurts for a moment.  One aspect I'm enjoying about Hurts is that it's FUN to watch him make plays.  I'm rooting for the guy and enjoying seeing effort on the field.  I appreciate that he has very solid work ethic and there's no question he will put the work in and take it serious...but then he can go out there and make great plays and have fun doing it.  He's a guy that makes it easy to root for him to succeed.

He is getting better and showing improvement before our eyes. Not ready to crown him the Franchise QB just yet, need to see more. But I'm hopeful he can become one.

I don’t think he needs to be crowned or scorned right now. Let’s just appreciate the fact the Eagles are winning and have a legit shot at the playoffs. Truth of the matter is it doesn’t even matter what we think, because Howie, the owner, and the coaching staff are the people who will decide to keep or dump Hurts.

Jalen Hurts isn't the answer. He's a decent placeholder until we get our QB. But we seen these QBs before.  They win you some you games. Maybe a  playoff here or there. But ultimately they  are never good enough. Unless  you have an Elite level defense.
