Not at all.  Eagles won and he played well.  It was a bad team missing players.  He needs to rebound and do it against the Giants in 4 days or it means nothing.

But you were gushing over Minshew for beating the hapless Jets. 😂

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Compared to what Washington put on the field, the Jets were the 85 Bears

No they weren’t and WFT has a far better coach.

Great Game!  Hurts should definitely be the starter next year.

He certainly has the inside track, but the season isn’t over. If he gets them to the playoffs he’s certainly a lock.

Right now I’m fine with the Eagles quarterback situation. If they feel the need to draft a guy to groom then I’m fine with that too, but as of right now they have two quarterbacks capable of winning in the NFL, and Minshew is one of the better backups in the league and both of them are still on affordable contracts. Personally I’d rather the Eagles use their draft picks on defense especially for the 2022 season and go out and get a receiver via free agency. Put the money and the capital in the roster and not the quarterback.

If it was my team and I could do anything,  I'd get Malik Willis and put him in the backfield with Hurts.    Depending on what Willis's numbers turn out to be at the combine.  I've seen numbers like 225 pounds and 4.52 40.  If that turns out right,  those are good running back numbers.

There are other QBs like D'eriq King to consider later in the draft.   For the most part, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I think that’s a little extreme bud.

This was one of the best games I’ve seen Hurts play. The INT was a freak play, following up that up with a fumble isn’t exactly good but after that he was money. Took some chances downfield and receivers made plays, was working through reads when needed and showed improved accuracy.

I’ve always said the last 4 games are a bit of an audition for him keeping his job next year or not given the year he has had to date. Well he passed the first with flying colours, and if he keeps this up the rest of the way - the job is his next year.

yeah.   well, I said "my team".

I like the run first offense with running QBs.   The Ravens used Lamar with Flacco.

It's unlikely they'll do that to the extent that I would want.

They might want to have the QBs run a lot, they might get banged up a bit, and the other guy would go in.  I dunno,  Willis is similar to Hurts, and building an offense for Hurts would be largely the same as an offense built for Willis.   I'd use them at the same time,  but the Eagles might just want him as QB.  I don't know.   I do think D'eriq King in the late rounds might be a good idea.   Brian Johnson was his QB coach at Houston.   He would know if King has the athleticism to do something similar to Greg Ward Jr and might know if he could be a useful backup QB.  D King in the late rounds or as udfa seems like a reasonable call.

Come on, WFT had a couple of players out on D, but they still had Allen, Sweat etc and they have been playing pretty well over the last few weeks. Held Bucs to 19, Seahawks to 15 (with the QB some want to throw 3 first rounders and most of our remaining cap at), Raiders to 15.

Jets are the worst D in the league both in points and yards. This isn't a debate.

Hurts played really well and IF he can start playing like that on a consistent basis, then we have our QB for at least 2022 and maybe beyond.

Hurts played a good game last night.  Clearly, it was the best one yet.  It would be nice if he could stack several of these together and he has the schedule to do it.

However, I think the Eagles are still QB shopping.

I know Jalen was under a huge microscope this game especially being in front of the Fans with 3 weeks off.  Also I gave Gardner his props for his performance and I still do with that said:

Washington, Broncos, Saints D >>>>> Jets D

Jalen has done this against better defenses this year.

And morons like you were excusing that game because it was against the hapless Jets.  Same rules apply, here.  No one was anointing Minshew after that game.  Hurts finally has a good game against a much lesser opponent, I’m sure you guys are spiking the football today.  @jsb235 is definitely swinging his purse today.

Pointing out your factual errors isn't spiking a football or swinging my purse. I would think today, of all days, you would either be a little more humble or at least not post, but here we are. But if you are going to post, at least don't make posts that misrepresent the facts.

You idiots were out there voting for Minshew to start this game like he just beat the greatest team ever in football. 😂🤣😂

Jalen Hurts more like Jalen Squirts! 😃

The Eagles will do their "due diligence” this offseason to try and find another quarterback, but the reality is none of the available vets are good options and none of them would ever want to come to Philly anyways. They might draft one, but I doubt he would be a high round pick. In the end Hurts and Minshew will likely be the quarterbacks in 2022.

He had a good game after a slow start. The rest of the season awaits.

Voting?   Is this an election?   Anyone who uses the word "voting” shouldn’t be calling anyone else an idiot.  Please quote me, where I "voted” for Minshew.

Go cry someplace else dope. The Eagles won and you’re mad about. LOSER! 😂🤣😂D8786157-D148-4CB8-B074-8FB2523C2479.jpeg.7ae0a3253b07ae442edd661a22568623.jpeg

Yes, how he handles everything with the pressure of a possible postseason spot looming (and in the playoffs if we are fortunate enough to make it) will be huge for his development and evaluation.

I don't care who we play or played. When evaluating Hurts (as a passer)it's about what he's seeing and how his throws are. He didn't miss a lot last night. I thought the ball placement was very good and in those wet conditions, that was slightly more difficult. It was a good outing from him and hopefully he can continue to play just as well.

I’m still not exactly sure how consistent he can be yet. I think what’s important though is he shows he has the ability that many around here claim he doesn’t have. So all those idiots were wrong, but that doesn’t mean he can be consistent yet. The next stage for Hurts will be maintaining good play, but I do think some of that comes down to play calling too, because it seemed to me like the Eagles didn’t run as much RPO this week.

It was nice to see he could run this offense even if his accuracy drops after 20-30 yards.

That’s cute.  So obsessed with Hurts that you created a meme.  I guess I know who you’re VOTING for this week, against the NYG?

First I’m "obsessed with Wentz” and now I’m "obsessed with Hurts.” You Beanbagging idiots can’t get anything together can you? 😂🤣😂

The Jets were so ill prepared to play that they themselves said they didn’t even prepare for playing Minshew at all. I mean these dopes around here are putting so much into one game from Minshew this year and acting as if Hurts played one game himself this year.

I agree with this. I thought his accuracy may have been his best game so far. Touch passes over the top of coverage, the back shoulder throw to ward for the td, etc.

I wasn’t able to watch the first quarter so when I got a box score update on the INT then followed up with the fumble I was disappointed. After seeing the replays, the int was a complete fluke and not on Jalen. The fumble still sucked, but took control of the ball and the game after.

If he continues playing like this, why wouldn’t we want him for our starter in 2022?
