Eagles got Hurts' off-season workout buddy at WR and immediately locked him up for his prime years.

Please cry, Hurts haters, it sustains me

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Or another possible (and more likely) scenario: They had agreed to the trade already when Hurts and Brown started working out. Just didn’t pull the trigger until the Titans were sure they would land Brown’s replacement in the draft.

It's a good night for Hurts Haters, and a good night for Hurts Huggers.

Jalen has been given the keys to arguably the best offense in the NFL. If he drives it off a cliff, we have the ammo to draft a guy next year. If he does well, we have two first round picks to make the team better.

The defense has gotten a lot better with Davis and Reddick. And I bet we sign Mathieu. Plus we still have two top 100 picks. So a pretty good day for the Eagles.

All the skill positions on offense are 27 years old or less…..dynasty in the making!

I don't think Hurts is the guy but, I'm also not going to dig my heels on him not being the guy as much as some of the pyschos on here lol. And vice versa

I understand he will be here and starting week one so don't need that speech! @EazyEaglez @ManchesterEagle 😛

A lot of people will still think we are drafting Carson Strong in the second….

We ended the season with smith, Watkins, and raegor as the top 3 wr targets and we end tonight with smith, pascal and aj brown in those roles, with Watkins on deck….if anyone has any doubt about the off-season, reread this every night until sept 10th

I guess we didn't give this much credibility ...

No speech needed. You get it. I get it. I have my own doubts about the kid, but I’m not openly rooting for him to fail like some around here.

I think they set themselves up beautifully on offense for awhile even if Hurts isn't the guy..... Still would have liked to see some more defense.

Just night one. Don’t they still have 2 2nds and 3rd?

Just a 2 and a 3 for now.

Kind of crazy how they started this off-season with so many picks and now to have so few.

Hurts is officially on the clock, he has a stacked offense. Best O-Line in the game, two stud WRs, a stud TE, and some good spare parts.

He has no excuses to not show significant improvement.

Not to mention an elite run game that he can contribute to. But now he has so many weapons that he's got to throw the ball more. And to me the trade for Brown means Sirianni is going to throw the ball more this year. He has to.

Except with the Davis trade up and the Brown trade, only 4 remaining picks in the draft.  Still need a DE, LB, CB and S.  I sure hope Hurts is the answer, otherwise Howie just set this franchise back 5 years.

Not really.

We can fill at least 3 of those positions with a FA signing and the remaining picks.

If hurts is poor this year we have 2 firsts to trade up to get CJ Stroud or someone next year?

Not sure how thats setting us back 5 years or are you just being a drama queen?

Best case scenario is that Hurts vastly improves and our offense is set for years.

If not, we are ready for the next QB to slide into a good offense.

Win - win.

Yep - this is exactly how it should have played out. Hurts gets this year. He has the weapons now and is in his second year in the system. No excuses - he has what he needs.

If he works out - fantastic. If not, we have the ammunition to draft his successor and he will walk into a great situation.

I like the fact the Eagles parlayed a pick into next year, but I’m not convinced it’s a certainty that those two picks could land the Eagles in a place where they can get one of these quarterbacks. Bottom line is they’re either going to need to be bad (which I doubt) or the Saints need to be real bad to ensure they have enough. No more excuses for Hurts, but it is still very possible he elevates his game. All this talk about receivers not wanting to come here because of the quarterback well it feels like this one came here precisely cause of the quarterback.

Hurts has been put in a fantastic position to succeed next season. He has everything a QB needs: O-Line, weapons, run game, offensive coach etc.

If he can't elevate his play substantially, then it's clear that he just can't. At that point break the bank to trade up for a QB.
