Brady has said in interviews that he was insulted by how late he was drafted and took it upon himself to make every team in the league regret not drafting him when he played them.

I respect that because he was angry and just went out and proved them wrong. Wearing that shirt during an interview seems like a childish way of trolling people, as was mentioned, and giving everyone the finger publicly. As long as he keeps winning, I'm trying to go easier on him.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Not everyone, just the haters. Also, it literally says "God bless" them, that's the same as giving them the finger?

He's definitely trolling here, but I wouldn't say it was childish. Actually, it was subtle and clever, so quite the opposite. Childish would've been intentionally steering the conversation in that direction so that he could tell people directly to STFU and go on a rant about how great he is. You want to see how a childish QB reacts to criticism, check out a Baker Mayfield PC.

"I don't pay attention to outside noise" .....wears a shirt that screams i pay attention to everything. That's not delirious, that's what happened.  The man legit has a shrine to himself behind him lol it's narcissistic as f.

Yeah, pretty sure that "bless you" means screw you. The timing is interesting because his play is starting to change opinions. He's even starting to change mine (gradually), and I've been harder on him than anyone.

I don't know, I take it as pretty genuine with Hurts, as he seems pretty devout. I didn't see it as one of those "bless your heart" backhanded expressions. Like, I'm sure he's trying to get a rise out of people, but at the same time, he doesn't really seem like the resentful type, just a guy who will bet on himself.

Similar attitude, different delivery style.

NFL won't allow embedding the video here but you can watch Hurts on the Peyton/Eli MNF show on Youtube.  Search: Jalen Hurts joins the Manning Cast on 'MNF' to talk Eagles 4-0 Start | Week 4

Hope you are right.

I'm an Eagles fan, not really a "philly" fan, so I find Philly fans obnoxious at times lol.  If it weren't for Cunningham, I would've been a Bears fan since I'm Chicago with everything else (white sox, blackhawks).

Anyway, I think Donovan handled being booed well.  He called out the fans for doing it, and there's nothing wrong with that.  Andy Reid really screwed him over with bad picks, and then getting rid of him once he finally had decent WRs (Djax/Maclin) and a prime Shady.

Cunningham is long gone. Maybe you should join him? I mean really? He handled it well? To call out any fan base is the sign of death. Best way to handle it is to shrug it off and play well enough to earn their trust. He did that for the most part. Problem was his comment lingered. Should have said he got it and is going to try his best to prove you all wrong.... I bet that would have ended the whole matter. Yet we are still talking about it today, years after he is gone...

You do know what it means to say "Bless your heart" right?

Yes, which is why I thought that was a screw you. "Bless your heart" doesn't have to be that, but being from Philly the you are an idiot option is the one I tend to lean towards. So it doesn't mean one thing.

I took it as a polite "screw you" but I think it's funny

Lol, no.

Yeah, but I don't think he was doing that here. Even if he was, though, I don't get why some fans are so sensitive about it. And while I'm not advocating that he display such an attitude, if anything, it would be well-deserved for some fans to hear it here, because the most vocal haters are often people with the least ability to actually analyze QB play, know-it-alls who end up looking like fools when their ignorance gets exposed.

You dodged a bullet on that one.

I liked what Hurts had to say on MNF, but I didn't like the hoodie; that's something Mcnabb would do.

Weren't you a huge Foles hater at one point? Lol

Yes, he was; the hate was epic. It's an ironic statement coming from him, but he's seemed like a very different poster ever since coming back after that fiasco. Hopefully he learned his lesson; others should take heed.

Fun-fact: I was also one of the most consistent defenders of Foles, telling people he deserved the opportunity to show what he could do as a starter and telling them to be patient. If you guys want me to go away, the Eagles need to strop proving me right on QBs, lol. I've had an impeccable track record ever since I insisted that Kolb was garbage and they should start Vick. Luckily, it only took one game to figure that out.

More level headed. All grown up. I was a total d*ck back in the day when I first signed up at the original EMB. Age tends to change us like that.

I think I was nicer, definitely more reserved, and this place made me more of a d**k lol. As a 14 year-old kid just looking to talk about their favorite players, TATE was a bit of culture shock. You'll either get chased out of here or join the mob and conduct yourself accordingly

I vaguely remember his saying that he was done with the NFL or something to that effect sometime around the Kaepernick fiasco.

That thread was hilarious, too bad we can't go back and read those old posts.

Perfect example of obnoxious philly fans lol. We simply disagree about how he handled something, so no need for me to jump ship. We aren't of a hive mind. And McNabb came up because again, some philly fan felt the need to criticize him, years after he's long been gone.
