Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Don’t want to put a dampener on things but Steelers D without Watt is pretty poor.

Still he beat them comfortably and did it from the pocket.

I wouldn't say they are poor. They've played well in every game except Buffalo which no one can defend. Don't be a buzz kill

Steelers defense sucks and it's not being a buzz kill. Eagles were supposed to beat them and they did

TO reference, watch out 🤣

This was an elite game. Good ish Jalen and congrats on the most consecutive regular season wins for an eagles QB.

Then again I liked Reagor too when we drafted him, so there‘s that.

Reagor isn't the problem now, it's Davonta, dude is a sorry excuse for a #2 WR.

I want to give a shout-out to @Infam, because out of everyone on this board he’s the only one I’ve seen truly believe Jalen was the that guy.

Although I don't post as much as I used to ...pretty sure I was telling these "noodle arm" idiots that they had no football IQ, and they didn't understand mechanics and footwork. Even had to block a few of them that i'm considering unblocking just to dare them to post "noodle arm" again. Some of them should be banned. They talked more sht on our QB than opponents did. Pretty sure I said the Hurts pick (that they said was a "wasted pick") turned out to be a franchising saving pick. I'm also pretty sure I was called a "Hurts humper" repeatedly by the likes of that 1 clown that posts weird sht under "olesilverdipsht". It got so old I stopped following the GDTs because these miserable "noodle arm" trolls simply wanted company.

Did you find out he was a globetard or something?

Look at some of the #2's around the league.......I'm as serious as serious can get.

Dude offers zero when it comes to RAC, if you breath on the guy he goes down and I said last year he's nothing more that a possession receiver because he doesn't have the speed to go deep (when  WR won't run a 40 that means he's slow).

Bottom line, another swing a a miss at the WR position.

Haven’t seen the totals after this game, but coming into today Smith was 25th in receiving yards for a WR. And all but 8 of the guys ahead of him had played one more game.

So how is he a poor excuse for a #2 receiver when he’s top 25 in the league? If he was just an average #2, then he’d be somewhere around 48th

After today he’s still on pace for 80 catches and over 1000 yards. And that’s with AJ getting taking a ton of targets.

With consistency or just how far? Consistency 15-25 range, deep ball? I would say can hit 50 in the air, but it will hang out there to give the defense looks at it consistently

Okay....so Jalen is a work out junkie. You telling me he has taken it easy up to this point and that he hasn't neared his max? Now I feel like you aren't giving him credit now for maximizing himself

Them holding on to minshew is having a great backup so the teams ability to remain competitive stays intact when the running back goes down. Strong without the knee issue would of been one of the top 2-3 QBs off the board.

Especially when you can get a cheaper version with that pick. Trust me, I get it. I'm not even all that excited about acquisition right now. It isn't even Brown's fault, just not confident in the running back getting it there

Coming from the guy who likes a running back at QB and think it's the same thing

Here is a question for you. You brought up youth and early success. Do you feel Tebow should of gotten another season as Denver's guy? Had a winning record, has a play off win with great stats... Or was it easy to see he wasn't  the guy? For many of us, it's easy to see hurts isnt guy...we just don't have the replacement Denver had

On 4/28/2022 at 11:05 AM, Shalodeep said:

No I can't. Jjaw shouldn't be on this team and that obvious to everyone. This team loves holding when it doesn't make any sense what so ever. Hurts is there to hold the forte down until 2023. Will won't really know what the coaches scheme is for two years, what our receivers are worth for two years, what the true value of any running back will be....it's actually pretty awful.

I'm not able to justify a starting quarterback who averages 1.16 throwing touchdowns a game when there is a quarterback on the bench who got 1.86 a game. The only way to justify it is he was a second round pick and he is cheap while the rest of the team is building. He will be a cheap stop gap who will never get that 30+ million contract he will chasing next year.

On 4/28/2022 at 11:56 AM, Shalodeep said:

Minshew got a quarter of Hurts throwing touchdowns for the year in a game....the ONLY reason Hurts starts is he was a second round pick that was drafted by THIS team, and for no other reason. In an open competition, Hurts would fall flat on his ass

On 4/28/2022 at 1:28 PM, Shalodeep said:

I'm really not going backwards at all. He isn't a good thrower of the football. My stance hasn't changed at all from that. I didn't say he'd only throw 16 touchdowns each year for the rest of his career. I'm saying there is almost nothing to be excited about. Winston threw 14 in in 7 games.... I'm sure burrow beat his touchdown count in like 5 games. If you like him as a player, I get it. Fun to watch at times. I get that....a good player, but a very below average QB atm. I've also said that he's a six foot man with a seven foot ceiling so a tiny growth 26 to 30 is all I can see. He is better Tebow right now. All I've seen so far from him

With the RB touchdown things you picked an awful team, a team who has no offensive identity so they got our old QB, and a team who's QB broke the franchise's TD record.... Context sir, you lack it

It’s all good Don. The trolls have been silenced. The doubters are starting to see the light. The Eagles are winning and it looks like we just may have darn good team and a franchise quarterback to boot. Eff the trashcan fans.

More proof that you don't actually watch games.

Before game 7, Smith was 14th (among WRs) in the NFL in total YAC, averaging 4.8 YAC per reception (which is ahead of Tyreek Hill, Chris Godwin, Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, etc...)

I think Hurts has matured into precisely the QB the Eagles have coveted for so long…

His reads have improved massively, his accuracy has improved a lot, his decision making is much better and he is obviously lethal with his legs…how much of this improvement is down to (or at least helped by) having probably the best OLine in football, I don’t know, but Hurts has become exactly the QB the Eagles have been searching for, I believe.

I, for one, am delighted that Russell Wilson wouldn’t waive his No Trade clause for Philly…I think we dodged a bullet there, as if he had been willing to come to Philly, I think there was a good chance Howie would have done all he could to try to make it happen…Our team is so much better with Hurts now, than it would have been with Wilson! (for so many reasons!)

Eagles football right now is possibly the most exciting football to watch in the league! I am always excited every game day to watch them…

However, all of this comes at a cost (literally)…does Howie now have to consider factoring in a $250m contract into their cap in the next couple of years…I doubt very much that he’ll want to pull the trigger too early, and be burned (à la Wentz), but it must be in his medium term cap calculations.

Good times in Philly right now!

I think Roseman will give him a five year contract as soon as he is allowed to.

He usually locks up key players right away (if they are young).

In fact, typical would be that we keep almost everybody and restructure so much that the can gets kicked down the road like never before. I can already see the usual suspects angry that we will have no money left in 2024.. 😁
