Not a horrible game by any means, but definitely not as clean and crisp as you'd hope. Probably a fair expectation for a Thursday road game. Now let's go sweep Washington.

No not clean and crisp. But you know what? He'll use the extra time to look at what he did wrong and where he can be better. He won't be happy with his game tonight.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Feels like he was under a lot of pressure. Beat a lot of blitzes. They had an over 90 yard drive. As @Joe Shades 73 mentioned he missed six passes and threw 2 touchdowns. Had a couple fumbles today though and lost one. He’s looking like a much better passer than runner these days.

And made big plays in big spots. I'm not sure how anyone can complain about his performance tonight really. He wasn't great but he helped lead this team to another win.

Yeah I was thinking that too. He's really not running a lot which shows how much he's developed it really does. And we know if and when he needs to be can make the plays with his feet.

This is a ho-hum performance these days for him.

Kind of crazy. Shows the expectations have definitely changed.

I mean who'd have thought that a year ago or even a few months ago. A ho hum performance for Hurts is now a game like tonight.

The expectations will only get bigger with each game with a massive contract looming. That being said I don't think it's fair to expect a mvp season and a super bowl appearance already, even though I think 1 of those 2 can happen.

I didn’t expect he would be performing as well as he has, but I did feel the excuses were over. It was time for Jalen to produce. They gave him weapons, he’s finally in the same offense in consecutive seasons, and they also added coaches who he’s familiar with. He’s delivered for sure and he’s exceed my expectations.

128 passer rating, second best of season after last week

"I've been 8 and 0 and lost the Narional Championship before"

Never letting it get to his head.

I don't think I can give hurts 40+ million a year.  I just don't think he's that good to take up that much spaceman.  I'd rather draft a replacement this year let hurts do his thing and trade him for mucho draft assets.

Tough call right now.  He's playing well most games and leading the team well.  He's checked off some boxes this year, but a big one will be a playoff victory (or more).

Lol - it’s not remotely a tough call right now. Hurts is legitimately in the MVP conversation and has us at 8-0 and you guys are talking about potentially moving on?

Hurts is getting his contract. Just up to him and Howie to make it as team friendly as possible.

I am not sure why you lumped me in with those other guys. Pretty sure I ampm not discussing Jalen’s future here. I’m only starting he’s come a long way from people being angry he was draft to now he’s getting MVP chants. By the way I don’t see how they could let him go. He is clearly the leader of this team and he’s done everything they asked him to do and more.

The Texans played it smart. They knew the big fellow was out and their only chance was to run it and keep the Eagles off the field. Once Mills had to throw more the game was over. They followed their gameplan almost to perfection and still lost by 2 scores.

Just lumped you in as I know you have always been balanced on Hurts and knew you would agree with me that he’s not going anywhere!

Not clear though - sorry for any misunderstanding!

"7. Can we just talk about how accurate Jalen Hurts is? He’s delivering the ball on target just about every time he drops back, and that’s a product not just of improved mechanics but also of a deeper understanding of defenses, a better feel for his teammates and a second year under Nick Sirianni and Shane Steichen. He’s not just completing passes, he’s throwing the ball with remarkable anticipation and making it easy for his receivers to catch the ball and pick up big yards after the catch. His improvement from his rookie year to last year and again to this year is astonishing. He was a 52 percent passer as a rookie, 61 percent last year and now he’s at 68 percent through eight games. He’s getting the ball down the field, he’s throwing touchdowns, he’s using all his weapons and he still has only two interceptions (in 239 attempts). Hurts was 21-for-27 against the Texans for 243 yards and two more touchdowns. He’s won 10 straight starts. He’s 24.”

Not bad for a 24 year old "running back” who right now has a higher completion percentage than Pat Mahomes, Justin Hebert, and Josh Allen.

One thing thats for sure, people seem to gravitate towards him. Team mates, other teams players, coaches, pundits and TV show hosts. They all seems to want to ride the train.

I don't see how you can be anything other than impressed so far this season.

It’s funny how the narrative is trying to portray this as a bad game for Hurts. If this were Carson Wince the beanbaggers would have wanted to put him in canton over it, but for Jalen (you know the guy those dopes called a running back playing quarterback) had a bad game. A game where he completed 77% of his passes, threw two touchdowns, no interceptions, and completed passes to seven different receivers.

LOL! Enjoy your chest thumping over absolutely nothing.  Kudos to you.  News Flash:. If it means Super Bowls, no one gives a F.

Everyone thinks he's playing good and is making headway.  No one thinks that was a bad game at all.  He just needs to keep up the good work.

Lol - where did I talk about you saying he had a bad game.

Just mocking the guy who said he wouldn’t pay Hurts. He’s getting his contract.

Your leader made that comment and you know it.

I have had my doubts about Hurts and can only say that he is knocking down the walls of doubt.  Sorry for my comment making you get bowed up, your awesomeness.  You are right, he is getting a contract.  When and how much is TBD.  If it means Super Bowls, no one will care.

Agreed. He's gonna get paid. No matter how many fans will try to move the goalpost in regards to critiquing his play.

History continues.   He's definitely firmly in the MVP Race for sure.   Another Efficient performance for Jalen.   The fumble was more protection from what I could see.  Anyways, only 3 turnovers in over two whole months of Football.  I'll take that.   These last two games, Jalen has been winning more from the pocket though he ran a little more this game.   Well every single week will be historic if this streak continues.   Congrats to Jalen on getting the Win in his Hometown and making History in the process.

I love when the haters out themselves by defensively reacting and making snide remarks in response to complimentary posts about Hurts as if they were being directly attacked :pizza:
