Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

It's time to finally admit that Jalen is having one of the greatest Seasons for a Eagles Quarterback ever.   It is very much comparable to Donovan in 2004 (They went 13-1 before resting starters and finishing 13-3) and Wentz in 2017 (He went 11-2 and the team finished 13-3).   The Eagles are two games away from breaking the All Time Eagles Win Record.   13-3 is the record by both 2004 and 2017 teams.   Oh yeah, he's the MVP.   Patrick has way to many turnovers and less wins than Jalen.     Allen has too many turnovers and less wins than Jalen.   Burrow lost too many games earlier in the season to catch up.    Tua also lost too many games.   Shannon Sharpe who has been very critical of Jalen in the past has even admitted the he deserves the award.

At this point it's hard to argue that Jalen doesn't deserve the award. He's the QB of the best team in the league with the best record in the league. And he's the key part of that team and that record.

Right now, it's likely his to lose.

I know this might ruffle some feathers, but I couldn't care less grand scheme. I'm happy for him, I'm happy we're flying, I'm happy he has played to that caliber this season.

However, the SB championship is the goal. I'm guessing Hurts himself would agree. Both would be awesome, but let's get the trophy.

Oh I agree. The MVP stuff is a nice to have but it isn't the end goal. And any player who wants that individual glory is probably a player that's not going to win many rings in their career.

2:12 in the video: Jalen is the most improved passer he's ever seen in his life. I didn't think it was possible for us to be this lucky but we may be

He wouldn't be the first. Kurt Warner got both in 99, but he was the last to do it.

Just FYI:

  • Lawrence Taylor 1986
  • Joe Montana 1989
  • Emmitt Smith 1993
  • Steve Young 1994
  • Brett Favre 1996
  • Terrell Davis 1998
  • Kurt Warner 1999

It happens, just not lately.

Mahomes is an alien so this is ok

Saw a stat that said Hurts is completing 74% of his passes inside the pocket.

how can that be? I was told "you can’t learn to be more accurate”.

Yeah, that's what the guy in the video said and even Rex Ryan I think said that this morning as well. We were all told that isn't possible by people who have been around the game at the highest levels.

What’s the saying, "all this has happened so fast, we haven’t had time to be astonished.”

Hurts has turned himself from a guy who was clearly inaccurate and severely lacking as a passer to a F’in marksman in the pocket.

Is Jalen Hurts the best runningback to ever play quarterback?

Possibly... and Lamar is the best WR to ever play QB.

Hurts is one of the smoothest m'fers I have ever seen. It's so effortless. If swag points go into the MVP equation, he has that thing on lock. I like Patrick Mahomes, seems like a cool guy, but damn... its not even close. It feels like cool guy bro (with a kermit voice) vs Denzel Washington in American Gangster 🔥

I don’t think people realize how significantly better Hurts was throwing to his receivers not named Reagor last season. People should go look that up.

@HazletonEagle hey you should check out the very first play Dan shows of Hurts at 2:30. That play look familiar?

I saw it

Looked comfortable in the pocket yesterday and spread the ball around with a variety of throws.  A good sign.  Eagles' offense is really rolling.  At this rate, Steichen (sp?) will be a head coach somewhere else next year.

I posted a video effusively praising Hurts in here and said nothing negative about it.

Not good enough for you? Your obsession is very weird.

In reality, while I mostly agree with the video some of that stuff was hyperbole. Including the praise on that play.

You set the bar very low for your MVP QB when you try to make a big deal about a routine NFL throw.

That wasn't a routine throw. A 4 yard can be but that was an exceptional throw. Don't sweat it though, it is very well established that you are never wrong about anything, in your own mind, that is.

Sorry, I don't read everything you post, but good on you if that was done in sincerity... which is questionable. Anyway, this play isn't setting any bar. It's a very underrated play showing anticipation and incredible accuracy which is not routine and things you said he could not do. Also, it shows your obsession with hating on Hurts which is still very strange.

I love that the analysts on TV - former players, coaches - and even current players like Tom Brady are praising Hurts.  They're saying he's the MVP, they've never seen a QB improve as a passer from one year to the next this aggressively, etc. etc.

Then I come here to see a few TATERs on the EMB still criticizing and downplaying and making excuses.
