I have never seen this site, so take from it what you will. Nothing surprises me at this point though

I'd leave too.

He doesn't hire his own coaches, didn't hire his own DC doesn't have much personnel control, reports came out that Howie has say in game day actives and who plays, he's been asked to relinquish play calling from a game plan put together by 15 other offensive assistants he didn't hire.

I'd fire Howie before Pederson and let pederson hire his own staff and fi d a GM he can work with and go from there.

Bringing in a new coach under the same structure with howie running everything isn't going to fix anything, will just be more of the same

Not sure Lurie will ever get rid of Howie though.

Good luck where ever you end up Doug appreciate the super bowl!

I feel like Pederson and the Eagles will "mutually part ways” after the season.

Also, my total guess is Duce Staley will be the Eagles ne t CO’s h.

There is that's why I said I don't even know who these bloggers are. Like I said though wouldn't surprise. Doug doesn't seem happy here anymore

I don't think Pederson should take the fall for Wentz. Wentz is his own person, he started to regress after the Superbowl win. Should fans, owners, and coaches be mad they won the Superbowl? Wentz was in control of his own future.

Doug is far from perfect and he needs an OC.

But in my view the Eagles are crazy to not give him at least another season. Super Bowl winning coaches are hard to find.

Doug wasn't wearing any Eagle apparel today and I thought that was a little odd. I don't remember ever seeing him at a presser without either an Eagles t-shirt, polo or visor.  He looks cooked. I tend not to believe that rumor. But, if he feels he will get fired, then he might resign first.  I do feel there's probably tension between him and Howie. It just seems something is going on internally.

I’m not totally opposed to losing Doug. The one thing I hang my hat on is players seem to fight for him. This team is beyond wretched, but I’ve never sensed quit in them. I think Doug is a reason for that. He also seems to be dealt a bad hand. That said, just like Wentz, there are things that are clearly on Doug that are independent of other issues. I’m not opposed to a house cleaning.

I don't know how many years Doug has left on his contract but if he gets fired he gets paid the rest of the contract, if he quits he doesn't get paid. Of course if he had something else cooking he might not care. Or he's got enough money saved that he can tell Howie to go perform an anatomically impossible act to himself.

I'm thinking Doug might resign right after the season before the Eagles can him. I don't think Doug does it during the season. If he quits, then I can't help but think that Howie is part of it.

Pretty certainly Howie is going to blame Doug. When has Howie EVER taken the blame for his personnel eff-ups?

I bet most of the coaches like Doug and Schwartz were not happy with Howie's draft this past year.  I'd be very surprised if the scouts agreed with Howie, too.  I'm curious to know just how divided the front office really is. And, if it is, how can Lurie not take steps to fix this? At some point, he has to look at the lack of young talent in rounds 2-4 over the past several years.

There's nobody taken in the first round that has a bronze bust just waiting in Canton either. You're right, we have no idea how divided the front office is and I'd be surprised if Lurie is oblivious. He may not like the most logical next step but I doubt he's unaware.

Do other teams always have all these crazy rumors and "unnamed sources" all the time?  Seems like someone is always creating drama (real or fake) around this team.

Losing Doug and keeping Howie is just fing depressing. The only way to feel ok about losing Doug is if Howie is gone too

Lol I'm sure they do. We just don't see it because it's not our team. I don't usually get into these rumors. Thought this one was interesting though and actually made some sense. Also nothing else going on until next season lol

Very true, I’ve never seen him in non Eagles apparel

Its probably for the best but seriously, what worries me most is Howie still being the GM after this season. I feel like Lurie just doesn't have it to make the move.

If Howie doesn't go, I'm pretty much done with this team.

If Howie has been hamstringing Doug all along, then Doug deserves one more shot with a new GM and new coordinators.

I posted this earlier, Howie needs to go, Schwartz is out because of not having a contract, I’m okay with the new GM deciding Doug’s fate, I think this mess falls mostly on Howie..
