yeah that was his other decent flick as a child actor, but his "luster" so to speak was wearing off by then. My Girl was a year after Home Alone. after that one he did Home Alone 2 which was pretty awful (though it of course did well at the box office). 

The Good Son was alright, and he was good in it as an evil kid (I think he channels some of that in his later adult roles lol). But after that his filmography is pretty bad until he dabbled in some oddball roles in the 00s as an adult.

I can’t seem to find any on exactly what happened leading up to Alec Baldwin shooting and killing someone on set. 
 

Obviously an accident but one would have hoped that after Brandon lee, rules would be implemented so that this could never happen again.

From what I saw he was told it was unloaded. Not even with blanks. But who knows.
