He doesn't get hit much because he makes his reads and gets rid of the ball faster than anyone else... That's why the Patriots would trade away "Pro Bowl" lineman over the years who would then go on to suck at their next team.... It's not that they weren't giving up sacks because they were winning in the trenches....

And I guess Favre - alrhough he wasn’t very good his last few years…

January 20, 20223 yr Tom Brady has more TD's than Montana and Elway COMBINED. More passing yards than Montana and Unitas COMBINED. More Rings than any FRANCHISE. Even Jerry Rice said he's the GOAT. I hate him with a passion, but I'm not going to deny his sustained greatness. He's probably going to play until he's 50 and finish with over 100,000 yards and close to 800 TD's

He’s a great player but his longevity is due to the wussification of the nfl.

Not that he was any good, but when he got old the announcers always said his age as part of his name "the 44 year old Steve Deberg takes the snap..." and it always made me laugh.

He was great BEFORE the rule changes. I don't doubt the rule changes have helped extend his career. And it's a different era than Montana played in. But his biggest asset in not getting hit is that the gets rid of the ball crazy fast. Montana was great. I find it hard to argue that he was better than Brady at this point though.

But yea he’s great regardless and I think would be great in montanas era.
