I don't obsess over it, but I try to not leave lights on when I leave a room. If anything, conserving energy is good regardless of the financial impact. Also, about half the lights in my house are automated, I can turn them off from Alexa or my phone.

By Friday of that week it piled up so high that while on a WebEx\Zoom\Teams meeting I looked at my video feed and noticed that our mini schnauzer decided to take a nap on top of it and you could see her in the background nesting in on it over my shoulder. No one said anything
