I forget how old I was, but I was pretty young, I walked over to my friend Stan's house while eating a Twizzler. It was his birthday and his mom rented Aliens (he was two years older and more white trash than me). I walk into his house and look over at the tv. It was the exact moment when the queen alien put her tail through Bishop and ripped him in half. I spit out my Twizzler and went home. That image was so strongly associated with Twizzlers it took about 2 decades for me to eat another one. Ironically by the time I hit my teenage years, Aliens became one of my favorite movies.
