The short range battery is only 232 miles. And that's in optimal conditions. In the winter you experience a huge drop. That's my one regret with the mach, we didn't opt for the extended range. It's excellent for most situations (I've been to the gas station once in 2023 since the bulk of our local driving is with the Mach), but going to Allentown and back is pretty much a no go unless we stop and charge it or my folks put in a 240 v outlet in their garage (cant, panel is full, already tried). They do have a reachable 240v outlet since the laundry room is adjacent to the garage but its a 3 prong one

Not recommended given the draw it takes. This is what I put in the garage. (not the exact one, but you get the idea) F'n wire costs these days is as much as an EV charger because the box is in the basement on the opposite end of our house

You'd see similar levels of "anxiety" and need to plan out your trip. it's a long transition. but it will transition.
