Teams dont draft for spite. If the guy we want is not BPA or a priority need for their team, they will let him slip to us

We'll see. Giants hate our guts.

It's also quite likely both CBs are gone before 11.

Really?  4 QBs + Sewell + Pitts + Chase.  That's 7.  If some team likes even just one of Slater, Parsons, or Paye, then one of the 4 that I listed will be available at #12.

Math.

Problem is none of those 3 are considered top 10 picks. If one of the top 10 teams wants one of them, they might trade down instead. I think the rumor of Eagles trading back up makes a lot of sense.

Slater has been widely projected to go in the top 11. It's also possible that 5 QBs go in the top 11.

That’s ridiculous ... clearly there aren’t more than 15 players in the top 10!  :P

Don't look now but, now both corners are going in the top 10 too!!!

I think the first 10 picks will be (in no particular order):

Lawrence

Wilson

Fields

Jones

Lance

Chase

Pitts

Surtain

Horn

Smith

Waddle

Sewell

Slater

Parsons

Paye

Phillips

I've seen Oweh mocked in the Top-10 as well.  Better add him in.

I'm with you there. I'm just not even that sold on him as a prospect (could be some recency bias there I'll admit). Mix in the injuries and I'm definitely out.

Would you risk a 2 on him or do you have Sidney Jones flashbacks?

Admittedly the latter.

IMO there are plenty of players that would be available that wouldn't have the added concerns.  It's a big enough of a crap shoot ... factoring in the injury concerns just adds to the level of uncertainty.

If Howie takes him with the #37, I'll have Sidney Jones flashbacks.  His back is such that he needed surgery once.  What's to stop it from blowing out again?  The kid apparently has terrific talent and ability, but that won't matter if he can't be on the field.

I believe he's actually already had surgery twice

I think it was the same injury that required two surgeries.  So...  Yeah.  Same point.  Flashbacks.  Maybe he'll be fine and be a perennial ProBowler, but that's a risk I wouldn't want to take.  Not when there are other good players available.
