Rashod Bateman could end up being the best WR in the entire class...the guy looks like Odell Beckham Jr. in his prime....

hes been largely forgotten due to not playing. crazy that a guy of his talent can almost be considered a sleeper right now. He was a sure first rounder last year.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I like him, but that’s a wild comp. Prime Odell was an elite separator, maybe the best in the NFL.

I've known the name but admit I haven't watched any of his highlights.  Boy he's explosive and makes some great hands catches.  Definitely intriguing.

How did he botch it? The initial offers were lowball, he didn't panic.

We don't know what's been offered, but given the alternatives on the market, waiting a couple weeks won't make much of a difference. Darnold? Mariota?

Howie doesn't have to make a move before March 19, when the bonus payment is due.

Stafford cost the equivalent of a 1st, 2nd and 3rd and taking Goff's contract. That set the ceiling. Howie didn't expect to get 2 1st rd picks, that's simply an opening ploy for negotiations.

Tannehill and Flacco went for 4th rd picks ins 2019, Foles a 4th in 2020.

He botched it because we are in this situation in the first place.

Teams can turn around quickly but we still have Howie who thinks he's smarter than every other GM

If Lurie had a full rebuild and got rid of Howie then I think we could turn around quickly as well

Howie was the GM when we had a turnaround.  He's been there before.

Will he turn things around this time?  Dont know but I'm hoping he's learned from the mistakes the last few years.  Either way we're stuck with him good or bad for the next few years

Lol

This is the exact reason I take the "Carson desperately wants out” with a grain of salt. "He (Ertz) wants out as bad as Wentz, if not more so.” could not be farther from the truth. Him probably leaving has absolutely nothing to do with him "wanting out”

He wants to play here but under a new contract that the Eagles probably wouldn't be wise to give him.

My head hurts

Ertz getting traded would be all about his lack of effort last season and the delusion that he's worth a Kelce type mega deal

It was really disappointing. Wasn't expecting him to pull the same thing Jackson did years ago during a contract year

It is because these players get a sense of entitlement. They expect millions of dollars and if they don't get it they get lazy.

Hes one of my favorite players in this draft. Has been since last year. But i think that comp really isn’t him. I’ve seen PFF say Keenan Allen. I can definitely see Keenan Allen comp but i actually think he reminds me a lot of ceedee lamb except i don’t think he has the great body control that lamb does. I think speed, yac, hands and route running he is similar in those areas. I think Bateman can also add weight to his frame to get to where lamb is currently.

Nah.  It’s done.  He needs to go.  You won’t get that.  Come on.

More amazing if the report is true, i believe there was another report the eagles used ertz as an intermediary to talk to wentz about staying here is ridiculous.

This is the same guy that said that

I don't think players pushing 30 should be pushing for big new deals from Howie, he's been burned before.

This is why i said i wouldn’t be surprised if the eagles brought wentz back with hurts after all these rumors/and prior to them. The eagles front office is delusional enough to think it’s not a powder keg situation.

I think wentz still likely gets traded but i  don’t think it’s just a given they do that. I think they look at it as if they don’t get what they truly want in terms of value they’re fine bringing him back. Normally I would say this is way too far for them to do that but I think the Eagles logic is we didn’t get what we want so we are just gonna bring him back. Normally i think another team deals him cause you’ve put it out there and gotten too far along.

What powder keg? They're rebuilding. They have a new HC, no one's job is secure.

Yeah you're right, it will probably go real smoothly like all QB controversies usually do especially when one of those QBs hates the GM and doesn't want to be here.

Thank you for replying so I didn’t have to reply to that. Add on you’re gonna have the fans and media screaming for hurts as soon as Carson has a poor throw or game. Like this has all the workings of some thing that blows up in their face. Sadly the only one believes that it couldn’t is him because you’re in a rebuild. Just cause you’re in a rebuild doesn’t mean you can’t have a situation completely become even more toxic and elevate to another level.

I’m on the fence about it. It’s a terrible idea to bring both back next year, and it’s a 90% chance it doesn’t work. But I think it’s equally terrible to unload Wentz at all costs and only net like a third. If the offer isn’t there I would bring him back and see what happens. There could be a preseason injury after the draft that will make a team panic.

I think the situation is more of a series of powder kegs on a time delay...we are already 2 or 3 deep in the chain reaction.

Why are we in a rebuilding situation?

I don’t disagree to the fact you can’t just trade him for anything. You don’t just trade him because you wanna just get rid of him and you don’t care what the value is. That’s what they did with desean when they released him. And they put out some bogus story he was about gangs and stuff like that so it would look better when they just released them because they didn’t want him on the team anymore. I don’t think they are at that point with wentz. However to pretend like this situation doesn’t have a chance to completely backfire and explode in the eagles face if they just keep him is ridiculous.

I would like to have wentz back as I think he’s salvageable but I’m not going to pretend this is not a combustible situation just simply because they’re in a rebuild so who cares. Just cause we have a new head coach it means no one‘s job is secure so let’s just do whatever we want is a BS argument. Anyone that denies or overlooks the dynamics of how badly it could play out is just fooling themselves

What do you think Wentz will do? Go off the reservation and deep six the rest of his career?

And Hurts has been in this situation in college, he worked hard after he was benched, and was ready for his call in the SEC championship game.
