I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Heading to Orlando and New Smyrna for 2 weeks starting on Thursday from freezing Vermont.  we get in late on the 18th (the day it's 84 in Orlando) and then it drops to 66 and 63 the first 2 days we're there :(...  FML

LOL enough of this Chase can't separate BS. Overanalysis by wannabe draft geeks trying to sound smart. The guy is a Fing superstar. GTFOH with this nonsense.

This crap happens every draft year. Some stud is overanalyzed over some nitpicky nonsense. Chase played in the best conference and dominated at like 19 years old.

Amen

I’ll be in Orlando next week. Hoping for some cooler weather lol.

Been saying it for a while now.   This idea that Howie is some sort of cap genius is just false.   AND... if anyone hasn't figured it out now, the current cap situation should really drill that point home.

Devonta Smith > Chase

DEN would need to give up two 2nd round picks just to move from #9 to #6, so yes, I’m sure they’d love to fleece Howie for just #40 — and get a franchise QB included free of charge

I should clarify that I just didn't think they would trade Jeudy in any deal like that not that trading down 3 spots, trading Wentz and getting a 2nd was a fair value.  Why trade away a rookie, who was the 15th overall selection last season, who had a good rookie year and a 2nd round pick to move up 3 spots and get Wentz? Maybe they would do it if the Eagles threw in Dillard.  I would hope the Eagles wouldn't take the deal without getting more than a 2nd round pick.

Everyone knows Howie botched the cap.

Ertz will be their first true cap casualty.  In trade talks, if it were actually feasible for us to keep his salary on the books, teams might actually have to offer up a pick to get him.  Otherwise, we could use him for the year and collect on a comp pick afterwards.

Instead, teams KNOW we need to clear his salary and that he will be cut if they don't trade for him.  So they'll wait and we get nothing.

Cutting Ertz (or throwing him into a Wentz deal as fluff) for nothing is the first consequence of Howie's cap mismanagement.

But Howie only botched it to sign the players Doug wanted to keep so he can't be blamed.

Sigh. Cap drama every single year. And then it disappears into the hot air it always was... Some fans will never learn.

Peters was awful and the decision to throw him out there at LT was out of panic, familiarity, and misplaced loyalty.

But the overall explanation is fine, probably the least I've ever had to fight my gag reflex of the times you an Afan engage in conversation.

I am wounded to the quick but, despite my consideration for your sensibilities, I may find myself engaged in conversation with afan in the future. Keep a barf bag handy.

As of right now it's

Kyle Pitts or Parsons followed by Chase for me at 6

Every team gets to the cap number, that isn’t in question.  The difference over the next couple of months is you’ll see quite a few players leaving (no big loss in most cases), but the Eagles will basically be silent in FA — there just isn’t any cap money available to sign talent.

That has a domino effect.  Being unable to sign FA means you HAVE TO hit on your draft picks, and you have to get them on the field and accept the mistakes they’ll make — even if it sometimes loses games.  This will likely be true for the next 2 years; without sellout crowds in the 2021 season revenue will be down again — a distinct possibility, meaning the Eagles will be up against the 2022 cap as well

I can't even count how many times I read that exact sentiment on this board over the last years. It's my personal groundhog day.. 😄

Can Freiermuth block, or is he just a pass-catching TE?

61 out here in Arizona today and 63 the next two days. Had to bust out a winter coat and go from sandals to actual shoes  it was tough but I’ll make it through

When I first moved I used to make fun of those people. After spending a few years here, I became one of them. Anything below 70 is shoes, jeans and a sweatshirt

He is a good blocker , probably most complete TE in draft.  I personally like Tremble and Long later in draft

Pretty much agree with this except that I think Rashod Bateman is the most developed, NFL ready WR out of the bunch and will likely become a future pro-bowler.  I think he's that good.

I have Bateman as my fourth WR.  Bottom first, early second grade.

I like Bateman, depending on what they trade Wentz for he could be in play early in the second? I mean he could last until #38 I guess.

It disappears every year as Howie pushes the money to the future... and it has all piled up for this year to the point that they are $60M over the cap, and its only a little exacerbated by the Covid situation.  It was going to be bad anyway.

But forget the cap, and look at the players that Howie has paid and the amount he's paid... that's also reason for him to be fired.    Or look at his draft history.   Any of those 3 would be a case for termination.  But, not with Jeffery Lurie's favorite little buddy.   He's never to blame, even though he's the one that controls everything.

I’ll go Smith, Chase, Pitts then Parsons. If that’s what’s left at 6
