Yup, it will be on to the next person (probably quarterback) to hate.  What's funny is they act like they are all about what's best for the Eagles then they make a statement about bringing him back just to carry a clip board to teach him a lesson.

Oh they'll be spitting their venom at Hurts by mid-season.

Take that to the bank.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

"Squirts for Hurts"

I'll file that away, too 😂

Ok, enough about me.  You have no answer?  No idea which "blue chip" guy you want.  You just want to pick at 6 because we have a shot at picking at 6?  Is that it?  Or are you bowing out of this discussion to?

I need a minimum amount of intelligence/sanity/common sense to engage. If this is the first year in history that draft pundits have nfl talent scouted 100% correctly (before combine/pro days no less), you could be right.  I’m guess this isn’t the first year in history that is true. You’re wrong.

Probably the "we’d love to keep you but we have no money” speech his agent just got when he asked for a raise coming off his one year deal.

More than likely it’s just some rap song that has nothing to do with anything

If this happens, the turn on Carson will be something.

So basically Les got an opinion from a Banner, Lombardi type.  JFC report on something else, media.   Report on Brown’s dad as a kicker guru (+Justin Tucker) and what he might do to cure Elliot.  Report on the P competition looming. Report on the newer assistant format where there are fewer assistant position coaches and more quality control coaches. Speculate reporting on the Hback converts and interview our new TE coach.  There are lots of things to report on that aren’t tired reiterations of rather baseless Wentz trade reports. At this point, I would love for the Eagles to restructure Wentz, have him bond with Johnson and the young WRs and TEs taking the sophomore step up and fitting into a solid O under Sirianni so that all this speculation becomes like an old Ted Cruz tweet about CA energy that gets trolled to these reporters every time they publish more pablum. Nattering nabobs of negativity.

A poor mans dollar tree Lamar Jackson is equivalent to picking up a QB out of the lost and found box at the local YMCA

Eagles are going to need a #3 this offseason with Sudfeld likely gone.  Dustin Crum?   A beanpole and playing against lesser competition but his 70+ completion rate has to be explored.

Lol I noticed that. Are they supposed to be overseers of the position?

The "turn" should be on Roseman.

The above requires work.

Meh. Jon Ritchie just echoed the same sentiment I and others have said about trading back.  Hmm. Guess he doesn’t know ish either.

I'm all for trading back as well. Really the big question mark is will someone want to pay the price to move up to our spot? Because we can move back all we want  we need another team to be able to want what we have and pay the price that it's going to cost.

Obviously we're only looking somewhere in that 10 to 15 range otherwise it gets too pricey to move up that far. We have to hope someone wants one of those quarterbacks bad enough. I don't see anyone trying to move up to our spot for any other position in this draft.

If the Bears really offered the first round pick and Wentz was all clear to go to the Bears then he would be gone IMO.  It is clear right now the Bears haven't talked to Carson or didn't get the answer they wanted from him.   Just take the 2 2nd rounders from Indy and move on.

I fully understand it would be very difficult to keep Carson however I'm not giving him away. I still think he can be a very good player in this league.

To me we're going to be paying a huge price whether we trade them or keep them we're not going to save much money so if they want to play hardball so be it keep them till next year play him and guess what if he improves his value just goes up. If we were going to save a crap ton of cap I say find but next year is the year that we actually start to save some money. This year would be a wash so why rush if you're not going to get value.

Because we have to be honest there is extremely high chance he plays better than he did last year. New coach, new system I think the chances are much higher of him having more success then playing the same or worse.

In my opinion it is over with Wentz.  He will not be on the team next year regardless infact he will not be on the roster to collect the roster bonus.  Hurts is out working out with the WRs while Wentz isn't.  That may not seem like much but how many backup QBs do you hear gathering all his offensive WRs together and working out?   I am pretty sure Hurt and the Eagles are pretty certain that Wentz will not be back regardles.

How is it wise to pass on better talent at 6 to give Howie more middle round picks considering how many he has blown the last few years? If they had a real GM, sure, but Howie sucks. Chances are he will blow them all at that point.

That was the rumor last week that the Colts offered their second this year and second next year.

Yeah, we should have kept Riddick over him, look at his success, or Grigson or . . . nevermind.

He's not getting all. The report was "some" of the WR's are getting together with him to work out. And just last year Hurts worked out with Jackson during the offseason.

The less obvious worrisome thing in that tweet is the eagles draft a qb at 6th. Not that they draft one. If you love one then by all means. but the fact they legitimately could wind up drafting a QB just to draft one cause you need a franchise QB and not because they actually love the kid but talk themselves into it.

The argument to your first point is that this is the weakest top heavy draft in ages and that the talent between 5 and 20/30/40 (pick a number) is pretty much the same.  There are no 'game changing' studs this year.  Your 2nd and 3rd points, I think there's only 1 poster here who would argue that.  Howie will try to prove he is the smartest guy in the room and blow the pick/s.  And not only is trading down this year a good option due to the lack of top end talent, but also because we need many positions filled with young quality talent because.....Howie.

Hurts working out with WRs and Wentz is silent on that front, tells you about Wentz's attitude towards the coming season.  He may have already checked out from the team.  If his heart and mind are not here, there is no reason to keep him around.
