If they draft a QB at 6 and Wentz is gone and Hurts still here. Hurts will start this year while the youngun studies film

Unfortunately, I believe this is the most likely outcome now.  Unfortunately because they will have two high draft pick QBs that will leave a lot to be desired as prospects, and still will contend with a very bare roster with little young talent.  Very few difference makers, with the last few remaining on the decline or verge of retirement.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Well, he pushed for Foles to be traded/removed, clearly wanted Doug to be fired, asked for Press Taylor to be elevated, etc. This is not even counting all the reports of him clashing with other players.

TBF, those things happen with a lot of franchise QBs. Franchise QBs have power and use it if they think it's their best interest. Roethslisberger has gotten a lot of Steelers OCs fired over the years. Tom Brady got the Patriots to trade/release WRs he didn't like. Peyton Manning was involved in the Colts' drafts, primarily for skill players.

But let's not act like Carson is some kind of saint here. He did things he thought would benefit him. That's fine. A lot of guys do that.

If they draft a QB, it will be Trey Lance. They'll have him redshirt his rookie year while giving Hurts a shot at auditioning for his next team.

Yup

They got Stafford in the deal.

Stafford is roughly worth a 1st and a 3rd.

The second #1 was to take the awful Goff contract.

I tend to think if they trade up it’s more likely for Wilson. If they stay at six and take a QB i think it’s Lance.

Yup, now watch Justin Fields turn out to be the best of the bunch...

This is the kind of crap that irritates me the most. Guys like you have no idea about any of this BS but you act like it's all fact.

C’mon, man. I’ve seen you stating opinion as fact throughout this thread.

And Hurts will suck and by game 4 Lance would be in

Frankly i think Wilson and Lance are extremely high ceiling but really low floors. I think fields doesn’t have as high of a ceiling as those two can potentially reach. I think his floor is that if he probably can be a low end starter. The other two i could totally see being complete busts.

The blogs even too stupid for me today

Replacing one NDSU QB with another NDSU QB will be a fun narrative to see Howie flail in.

Then don’t. But if you think Hurts will succeed and there won’t be a crazy amount of pressure to start a young high draft pick then I don’t know what your train of thought is.

Why do you see Fields with such a low ceiling? He has the athletic ability and a rocket arm to go with it.

Im just saying dude.   Im not even getting into the hurtz potential debate.

I like the kid.  And want him to succeed if he wins the job in cAmp.  And one thing we can all agree on is he will be one of the  guys on the 53 man roster next year.

Eh, of the Eagles draft a QB at #6 or move up for one then I see Hurts getting flipped for a 3rd or 4th during the draft. Maybe they keep him but that could once again make things complicated in that locker room.

He's not wrong

If you look strickly at Hurts's play last year, it was AWFUL lol. Scambling isnt a system and people use he was "more exciting " then wentz as a barometer

i'm willing to see what a true competent head coach and offensive coaches can do for hurts and the offense as a whole. doug was status quo and when he needed to adjust in game he crap the bed. hurts might not be the future but he's wanting to be here atleast and the players want to play with him so i'm on board this up coming season and not gonna piss and moan about the past. this draft is important to get younger , better since cap hell is here.

I want Wentz gone in the worst way and I don't think he's good anymore, but the hyperbole on his character over the last couple days is way over the top. I think people are just dealing with mounting frustration and lack of news and are getting antsy and taking their frustrations out on him. I mean, to take that little Albert Breer blurb and run with it to the extent people are is so foolish.

No one has any idea if Wentz or his camp have demanded he go to Indy, hurting the Eagles trade value. If it comes out definitively that it's true, then sure, criticize him, but we're far from that point as of this moment.

And no QBs in this draft, please.

RG3 = Haskins = Fields

Same build, same makeup same hype

Haskins build isn't like either of those two.

Who knows what RG3 would have been if not for that early career injury that the Redskins had him play on.

Haskins has talent but he's just not mentally mature enough to do anything with it at the pro level.

When this happens, if the first question to Howie in the post-draft press conference isn't about whether NDSU is a QB factory, I am quitting the board.

RG3 was special.  I forgot how much they effed him up and kept playing him despite being hurt.

I think saying Hurts sucked is a little over the top. For a rookie's standards I don't think he was bad. Was he great? No, but it still did some impressive stuff.

just stop to get a case of beer and well i finally got pay back on my brother LOL, he is currently in the wawa parking lot losing his lunch from my garlic , onion chili chain reaction LOL.

i don't feel any regret
