I don’t disagree. Frankly i think his ceiling is a top 15-25 starter in the league and floor is backup. I don’t think that’s good enough to win. But i firmly believe the eagles truly think with development and grooming he can be their Russell Wilson. I don’t see that. But i think the reality is going to be he is going to be just good enough to make you competitive where you are stuck in purgatory.

i am not against taking a QB but i don’t see the eagles doing so unless they absolutely love one of them. Just my opinion i think the eagles would fall in love with Wilson but not going to be able to get him

I wish we had this situation last year so we could pass on Herbert at #6 because we have Coffee Bean Hurts.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Vegas doesn't mess around those are big odd shifts something should happen real soon based on that.

Yea, sounds like a guy whose really sold on Hurts

At the time, he probably hadn't looked at a lot of film on Hurts, since then I'm sure he got an intern to put all his college and pro film on a DVD.

You say this like he couldn't have watched the filmed and soured on him

Arm talent,  Wilson has a cannon  , mobility,  off platform throws.

Not sure where murray comparison comes from

Cannon isn’t everything or Dustin Crum would be the first pick in the draft.

1. It's not Vegas. It's FoxBet that you can only do in NJ, PA, MI and CO.

2. You can only bet on the Wentz thing if you are in CO.

I wouldn’t read too much into it other than Breer and some other talking heads are pondering if the Bears deal didn’t happen because of Wentz instead of the obvious answer of they didn’t offer enough.

Poor Nick. Good thing he got life-changing money because this is a terrible job.

Not even on the same level

And crum returned to college

It's not a no brainer, here are the #1 picks who were QBs the last two decades:

Vick, Carr, Palmer, Manning, Smith, Russell, Stafford, Bradford, Newton, Luck, Winston, Goff, Mayfield, Murray, Burrow

Other top ten picks at QB:

2020: Tago #5, Herbert #6; 2019: D Jones #6, 2018: Darnold #3, Allen #7, Rosen #10, 2017: Mahomes #10, Watson #12, 2016: Wentz #2, 2015: Mariot#2, 2014: Bortles #2, 2012: RGIII #2, Tannehill #8, 2011: Locker #8, Gabbert #10, 2009: Sanchez #5, 2008: Ryan #3, 2004:  Rivers #4, Big Ben #11, 2003: Leftwich #7, 2002: Harrington #3

So the odds of hitting that unicorn, the franchise QB, in the top ten or so, about 1 in 3.

Zach Wilson is intriguing. I'm still 100% in on Chase, but every once in a while I'll see a ridiculous throw from Wilson and wonder if the guy is a stud who was just at BYU or if he's kind of a boom or bust QB who is just conducive to highlight packages.

All that has nothing to do with my post, but ok.

I was in the belief that the Jets would keep Sam Darnold and build the team up around him for another year. He has been given bad team since he came in the league and bad head coaches but I tend to think the Jets are going to take Wilson and deal Darnold to get extra picks. That said if the Jets don’t take Wilson you’re going to have to move up to two to get him in my opinion. I think there’s enough teams like Atlanta, Carolina and Denver probably are going to like him enough to where you can’t hope he falls to six (I say Atlanta because I think they would sit a quarterback behind Matt Ryan for a year and then try to trade Matt Ryan the following you’re even if the dead money is a high they still get something like 15 million Space and probably pics to make up for it) and I think someone will fall in love with him and want to move up to two if the Jets are trying to deal that pick

Did it ever leak how long he signed for?

Playing like an MVP all season and misses what likely ends up being a meaningless regular season game and this happens. Philly media for you... honestly Marcus hayes and ESP might be the two worst journalists in the city and it’s not even close

That is beyond pathetic.  Hayes is awful.   I don't remember being so bad when he was on Daily News Live.

He also had some horrible flyers take a couple years back. He’s really been getting ridiculous over the years

Who has followed Christian Watson during his career?  I don't know much about him but he looks like a sleeper prospect that might go in the 3rd round, maybe top of the second.

You mean 20/20 hindsight? If only we knew that the QB who falls to us at #6 is the next Herbert or Mahomes, and not D Jones or Bortles.

If it was obvious, Wilson doesn't make it to the 3rd rd, Brady doesn't make it to the 6th rd and Romo doesn't go undrafted.

No. I mean passing on a QB because the team is hell bent on trying to make Jalen Hurts a thing. And it was just a joke.

Who are they passing on at 6?  Lawrence and Wilson will be gone by then.

No one. It was a back and forth conversation about Hurts and whether they should go with him or draft someone at #6 and my post was more or less "imagine if they had #6 last year and passed on Herbert” and then turned into a jumbled mess.

Just now, Sturm said:

He was the greatest Eagles FB of the last decade.

Former Eagle and a player that Jalen Hurts has been compared to is all I can think of.
