"broken" Wentz(Which I think can be easily fixed is still better than what 10 teams have right now.

2019 Wentz is better than 18ish teams right now

and 2017 Wentz is better then 28 or so teams right now

I don't disagree with this, or what DeathByEagle said.  That is why there is a market for Wentz.

I was on record in December that there would be a market for Wentz, that I thought he could fetch a low 1st rounder in a good situation, and that the absolute floor compensation was a 2nd and an additional 2nd day pick.  His contract and his play this past season are big factors, but in the right situation the past performance leaves some value for him.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Why are you anti-Hurts?  His rookie season is comparable to other Eagles QBs of the past.

If there was a market for Wentz he would have been traded by now.  Instead there are only 2 teams at most interested in Wentz but likely only the Colts at this point who as reports state are standing first on their low offer because they know no other teams are willing to give up much of any value for Wentz.

Get serious, man.  52% passer, can’t consistently complete throws to the middle of the field at any depth — WTF does that have to do if he’s black, white, pink, purple, or yellow?  The guy has a very limited ceiling.

He has the feel of Mark Sanchez to me — there, another ethnicity for you

You might agree with yourself on that. I have no confidence that Hurts will be anything other than a first read and run q.b. that seems to get shut down in the 2nd half of games. But ya never know.

Yea that makes zero sense, take that racist crap somewhere else.

Thankfully it looks like I get my wish and he will start next year. I have full confidence the haters will crawl back under the rock they came from afterwards.

At the end of the day you have to divide up the blame last year and in my opinion, and hate towards Doug, Wentz wasnt close to being the issue.

-Only team with out an OC

-Teams laughed at us for 1, using the wrong scheme with the personnel we had and 2, because we were using EXACT game plans from 2018, 2019.

-Doug's creativiy has been lacking for years and his play call didnt benifit Wentz or this team AT ALL

-Howie sucks at drafting

-Every Howie FA flopped

So when you tell me Wentz played and looked like sh!t the majority of the time, I say, no kidding.

I mostly agree with everything you said, but I do hold Wentz to some more account as for his play.  Yes, all of these things were working against him.  Agreed.  But we saw how he played, had he made better decisions, improved his mechanics (which quite visibly fell off a cliff) and was more careful and accurate with the ball they still would have won the terrible division.

Given all of those factors you mentioned, is it any surprise that Wentz would want out?  I mean, I get it.  The Hurts pick was also the most insane decision ever made by a team that had just signed their guy to a franchise QB deal, so after that alone I would get how he would feel toward the organization.

What we don't know enough about is Wentz leadership, how he was in the locker room, etc.  There have been some very damning reports about him, how he is/was as a teammate, his responsiveness to "hard" coaching, favoritism issues, etc.  There also have been some prominent teammates who spoke well of him.  Not enough is known yet about these factors.

MY eyes. He doesnt have a QB level Arm. He doesnt have a QB level accuracy. He has legs and scrambles

You cant win in this league having a 1 read scramble QB.

But his production passing the ball was very comparable to other Eagles rookie QBs.

He definitely doesn't have the arm of Mahomes or Allen but you talk as if he has the arm of Chad Pennington or something and can't throw the ball down the field more than 20 yards which is simply untrue.

But But But the media says Lurie thought he was the next Russell Wilson??? I mean come on, the media can't be wrong.

If you're gonna start that crap you will soon be ignored. No room for racist BS in here

Lurie isn't unhappy with Howie, he's made that clear, which suggests that Howie's "mistakes" were approved and maybe even pushed by Lurie (shades of Snider).

They tried to get back to the SB, a couple bad moves (Jeffrey, DeSean), a lot of bad luck (Jerrigan, Malik, Wallace, Darby, etc.), a few bad breaks (Jeffrey's drop in NO, Clowney's hit).

They both agree they're rebuilding, they're happy with the personnel group, they fired the coaches. Brought in the closest to AR they've found in a decade.

I don't think the resolution of the Wentz situation will make any difference in Howie's job security.

Nothing does.

got it, so every college scout and pro team is an agreement with me( I agree with them actually) but your right.

Go it.

Hurts cant make a 12-15 yard out. He cant hit deep crosser in stride

His throwing power is similar to Chad Pennington. BUT BUT HE's EXCITING TO WATCH AND CAN RUN.

WGAF

I am right, as usual. And very happy that there is proof coming and this is not an "what-if" kind of situation.

I'll be here and if I'm wrong I'll certainly be glad about it. If that's indeed the direction the Eagles go. I just think that being at 6 they may add someone else to the mix. If Wentz is gone

How am I racist for pointing out that whenever a QB is black people doubt he can be a QB and say he should better play at RB?

This is very real, no matter how hard you try to ignore it.

Nope, no one in here said that and it's very racist for you to bring it up. This isn't the 1970s. Stop trying to race bait.

I normally am on the same page with you, BUT I think they wont go QB in this draft at 6. "if" they do, you cant keep Hurts on this team or your in just as bad a situation your in now. He would have to get traded. If Wentz is traded, they have to either go Hurts for at least a year or trade him as well.

Funny I said Chad Pennington the same time you did

You cant win in this league with a Pennington Arm,

He doesn't have a Chad Pennington arm though.  He can push the ball down the field, we already saw this from him as a rookie.

One team interested = market exists.  Two teams interested = decent market exists, especially for that position.  Potential for a "bidding war."

Also depends on your definition of a "low offer" - what the Colts reportedly offered was right in the middle of what my expected return for Wentz was before trading him was even discussed.  So no surprises for me there.

Wentz isn't traded yet because trading him is a huge hit to the credibility of Lowie.  There is no way for them to spin it, it's a complete failure and disaster in every respect.  They will explore every avenue multiple times to maximize the return.  I just hope they don't miss the market entirely through their actions.

Yeah, "the backup of Hurts is Scott." But of course that has nothing to do with that. Sure.
