Horrible compensation

Glad he’s gone. He was the best QB on the roster but a distraction to the nth degree. Now get rid of Howie because this situation was a complete embarrassment.

Seeing how he is now in the AFC and our pick hinges on him I will be paying attention to Indy next year.

Essentially a 3rd and a 1st round pick in 2022 — Wentz will be the full-time starter there.

I always felt the final deal would be a 1st, a 3rd, and a young player on a rookie contract.  Howie really should have been able to get Okereke or another young player included.

You also have to wonder who the #2 QB is for next season.  Could it be anything less inspiring than bringing back Sudfeld?

The #Eagles will absorb over $30 million in dead money by trading Carson Wentz to the #Colts.

$33 million in dead cap for a 3rd rounder this year and a 2nd (maybe 1st) is so bad on every level.  Is Jeff Lurie high fiving Howie saying great job?  There's no way he can support this and  think it's a good thing.  This franchise is a joke.

I'm glad the drama is over, bummed Carson is gone as I feel he will turn it around.

Now it's the Jalen Hurts show.  Please don't reach for a QB at 6 now.  None of them are worth it.  Bring in Tyrod Taylor as the backup and see what he can do.

Hurts deserves our support now.  Not his fault he was drafted where he was.  He came here and competed.  Let's hope he can improve and be the best quarterback he can for the Eagles.

I'm not sure why their offer would change but it didn't help that word leaked that Wentz didn't want to go to Chicago.  He got a third this season for a 2nd that could turn to a first next season.  I think that's a potentially better deal than 2 2nds.

I'm going on the flip side, and hope he plays every game and they are great.   It will just reflect even worse on Howie.   He has to go.  Now, we've run the Super Bowl winning coach out of town, and the QB that put them in a position to be in the Super Bowl.    Yet, Howie remains... He's the one who created this mess.   And getting pennies on the dollar for Wentz, even with his poor season this past year doesn't absolve the absolute criminally incompetent job Howie has done since the Lombardi trophy has been hoisted.   And now, we've moved on from pretty much everyone associated with that Super Bowl, with the exception of Howie.   

Howie created the dumpster fire that this team currently is... no QB, no salary cap space and limited draft stock.   Oh, and did I mention that this team has no young talent either?   Yet, the guy responsible for all that stays.   

 

I think I'll be watching this season from a distance.  Someone wake me up when Howie's gone.

I was told the big shift in the odds on betting sites didn't matter  ????  

Eagles will draft a QB in the first round, you can book it.

So who is the veteran backup we bring in? Saw someone mentioned Tyrod Taylor. Maybe Fitzpatrick? I guess maybe Foles if Chicago cuts him. Would like someone in the QB room that Hurts can learn from.

So your saying Hurts will be traded as well then? ONLY way it works with drafting a QB in the first round. You cant draft a round 1 QB and keep him. QB drama all over again.

I would like Foles.

What did people think we were getting? It seems like we didn't have much leverage since it was clear his camp wanted out.
