He's a twitter person that reported it was a done deal last night and that it would be announced before noon today.

🤷‍♂️  I wasn't around yesterday to see it, so he's not getting an apology from me.  :P

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Are there any of his supporters left?  Or has everyone finally joined my side of the argument started 2 seasons ago?

Damn 2 seasons ago. I keep stating a fact that is not a cherry pick.  Roseman has outlasted 4 coaching stints. Horrible draft picks, being touted as a cap guru when that was never true. Truly hate the guy as a GM.  I would give my life savings for him to have a book written explaining everything he is responsible for.

Wow

33.8M dead cap charge, the largest dead cap charge in NFL history.

I hate Howie

”With the third pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Trey Lance, QB, ND State.”

I'd rather trade the entire draft for Trevor. I dont see any of the QBs in this draft being a franchise guy other then him.

Yes Its a joke, i wouldnt trade all those picks for one guy. Just showing how much I would not draft Wilson, Lance or Fields.

Might as well burn the whole thing to the ground at this point.  They can trade the entire roster for the entire 7th round worth of picks now!!!

They gave Howie the torch.   🤦‍♂️   And he's the one that broke it...

My guess is that only DJax, Alshon, Malik, McLeod and Ertz are gone.

Not sure on McLeod, but the rest we can easily do without.

Here's what I think the starters on offense need to look like next year. I don't see the point to FAs other than a vet backup QB.

QB: Hurts

RB: Sanders

WR: Draft pick, Reagor, Ward (Hightower and Watkins on bench)

TE: Goedert

OL: Mailata, Herbig, Seumalo, Brooks, Lane

Let the young guys play.

Just a guess...

Eagles side:  Wentz requested a trade then made it difficult to be traded to Chicago (who had the best offer) so in order to accommodate Wentz, he was traded to Indy for less.

Wentz camp: So what?

Can't blame Wentz given the state of the Bears.  We can blame Wentz for his poor play but it's clear that the real reason is and has been Howie.

Fire Howie now too

I'd prefer drafting Humphrey and playing Seumalo at LG, but the rest looks good to me. Not even a bad offense.

I don't think the trade was so horrible given the limitations, but the Eagles may have actually inched past the Jets and Texans as the NFL's greatest laughingstock, for this offseason at least.

Not sure it's as bad as it sounds on paper.

A 2021 3rd and a 2022 1st round pick is actually A OK with me.  I'd rather have the ammo next year.

If Wentz plays <70% of the snaps and they miss the playoffs....we are going to be glad we got rid of him and they are going to be upset they gave up anything for him at all.

With the eagles luck, Wentz gets hurt in the preseason, miss the first 4 games of the season, Colts go 2-2. Wentz returns week 5, Colts go 10-2 with Wentz, Colts make playoffs but doesn't play 70 pct of the plays.

It's a rebuild. I'd rather bottom out than limp along in purgatory. That's the whole point.

It's 1998 all over again.

I don't think they can afford to trade Brooks or Lane.  I'd like them to keep BG just because he's a leader.  I feel similarly about Cox and I think there would be cap problems trading him.  I agree with you on everyone else.  My guess is that only DJax, Alshon, Malik, McLeod and Ertz are gone.

Brooks saves them a few million this year if traded, but more importantly clears money on the cap for 2022 and beyond.  Lane is untradeable until after June 1.  Costs too much to trade him unless its spread over two years.    Brandon Graham, I love him, absolutely... but Howie's structure on that contract means he'll cost us nearly $18M this year and another $12+M next year (while not under contract) if they don't trade him this offseason.  He has to go.   They can't afford $30M for him over the next two years for just one season of play.   It will hurt for 2021, but moving him now would only cost $17M for 2021 and clear the cap for 2022.

This organization blows.  Why do I still buy my season tickets?  WHY?!

I'm out of market so I never even had the chance to buy them, but if I was a season ticket holder, this would be the first year I'd ever consider giving them up.

I'd rather we let all of the Young WR play and not draft another one.  We need to draft for 2022 and 2023.  Which means find Lane's and Brook's eventual replacements.  They both are injury prone and over 30.

Kinda thinking we take Chase or Smith if they are there. Wouldn't hate finding replacements for Lane and Brooks, but no way Sewell gets past Cincy. We also need to do something with Dillard.

So is Wentz cap hit clear as of 2022?

Well I can finally drop my Wentz jersey off at goodwill or amvets now

Looks like I had the right idea to step back a season early.

Well on a positive note, We could be in the mix for the 1st ovr pick next year with a high chance of extra 1st late as well. That is when we can discuss us drafting are next possible franchise QB.

In the end you can look at building the team up in all other positions and plugging in a QB last like the Bucs did. Might be the smarter way to play it. Spend less money on only bringing in a QB after the team is built.

I miss you big guy.    Good to have you back, even if only for a little while.

It is crazy to me that a lot of people are comparing the stats of a rookie QB to to a 5th year starter making $100 million.  I'm not saying Hurts is the answer,  I hope he is, but it's not the same playing field.  Lets give him an offseason and give him a chance before he is condemned.
