Hurts in 2nd half of games was really bad. I don't think people realize that.

People choose to ignore it.

If he’s the starting QB next season I’ll cheer hard for him, believe it or not.  He needs to improve in a lot of areas, though.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

If you look at it through the lens of Carson was gone no matter what (and it was obvious for awhile), this is a solid deal. The market wasn’t there.

Unfortunately, I fully expect him to play well in Indy and will look like a good deal for the Colts.

The only way we don’t look like complete fools is if the rest of his career turns into last year.

The only real change needed was the GM and he’s the only one left.

The fields part doesn’t bother me if the eagles love fields. The bigger issue is what they are going to have to give up to move from 6 to 2/3 to get a Qb if that’s what they are planning on doing. Probably gonna overpay as I’m Guessing the market is going to dictate that with teams like the panthers, Broncos, Patriots and some others might attempt to move up.

You're right. I think it's a mistake to use capital to move up and take a kid who I don't have a ton of faith in when the rest of the team is garbage.

I'm more pissed about losing To'oto'o than anything that last year created.

Yup. That kid is good. From what I've been reading and hearing on the SEC channel, looks like Bama will land him. Hopefully SC swoops in

My question would be if someone pulls the trigger pre-draft or waits until draft day. There could be quite a bit of shuffling in the 6-10 spots...might be very interesting

Lowie should have to watch this on a continuous loop.

How does a trade like this fit into the QB factory metaphor?

It grinds to a halt

Fields it is!!

Lance is going to be good

I like Lance a lot lol but I’m seriousness i compare Lance’s stock coming into the nfl the same way with josh Allen. Not in terms of talent but he has the highest ceiling (of the other 3 QBs) but he also has the lowest floor of the other 3 QBs. I thought the same thing in that draft class with mayfield, darnold and Rosen with Allen.

Trade the #6 a 2nd and a 1st next year for Deshaun Watson

Which won't happen because this past season was absolute rock bottom for him. He's in a better situation right now with better coaching, offensive line, running game, and defense. He'll probably turn into a top five QB again. Which is frustrating, but that was never going to happen here anyway so it's not worth getting too upset about.

And Howie Roseman will be the one spearheading the rebuild.

Yep.

I’m curious to see what the Jets do. I think the no. 2 pick has a ton of value cause i think teams will want Wilson but do the Jets want Wilson or fields. If the Jets are fine moving on with darnold for 2021 building the team up around him and giving him him their minds better coaches like LaFleur and saleh and a ton of cap then i think they sell at the highest price. It’s going to be costly. Not sure i make that move for Wilson, fields or Lance

I had that class as Mayfield the most NFL-ready prospect, Darnold a turnover machine, Allen raw but talented, and Rosen needing a punch in the face.

Full disclosure — I didn’t even see Lamar Jackson as a first round prospect — so, of course, he wins an MVP

Wait, Schefter isn't a credible source according to lots in here so maybe it's just not true 🤷‍♂️

That wouldn't even come close to Deshaun's value.

It could’ve happened IMO with the right people involved.

Time to move on. But, I will ad Howie is gonna be the most despised man in Philly in quite some time in Wentz plays well or Hurts doesn’t become Russell Wilson.

Can’t wait to hear Afan’s take

I think the Jets take Zach Wilson.  They’d be smart to stick with Darnold and build their roster, but neither Douglas or Saleh was there when he was drafted — so he’s likely gone

Had a multiple coaches at Arizona tell me Rosen was going to be a bust just based on what they had heard and when they played against him. This was Arizona who stunk so it kind of spoke volumes to me. I think darnold gets killed but when Todd bowles as a HC and Gase are your two HC as a pro and your team has been the worst drafting team and letting your better players go tend to not have success. Darnold could very stink but hard to know cause their organization up til now has been a bigger dumpster fire then the eagles the last 3 years.

i was really eh on mayfield i thought he was a solid middle of the road starter. I didn’t think he’d be a complete bust. I also didn’t see him being elite.
