Will Lowie admit anything?  Nope.  They are the smart ones.  Everyone else is stupid.  They know what they are doing.

I agree. I just needed to vent man. I'm so over this franchise. They are bottom feeders in the league now.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I don't think the Jags are going to give up the #1 overall. Though I have been of the thought for a while that the Eagles will take a 1st round QB. I could see a trade up a a spot or two. Maybe the Falcons could be a trade partner.

True. I have to adjust my thinking now that Wentz is no longer here as a trade asset. For a QB needy team looking at a draft where Lawrence is the best option, Wentz could have possibly helped as part of the package to get all the way to 1. Now, we dont have that.

We will have to wait and see if the Jags go for Lawrence or not. If not, I think Howie makes an immediate move up a few spots to try to land him.

This pretty much guarantees a QB at 6 right?

Yup, Schefter even reported that he expects the Eagles to bring in a new QB, and that the additional picks give them ammo to do so.

If Lurie is to be believed that we are planning a 2-5 year rebuild and that was the reason DP got fired - no.

Good news: in 2 months and change we'll finally have our stud WR in Ja'Marr Chase.

Bad news: we're gonna suck and waste his prime years and at the end of his rookie contract he'll want out

If they take a QB in round 1...I'd never dump them as my team, but my level of passion would drop precipitously. It would be beyond stupid.

Sign Brissett, have him backup/compete.

My opinion has been the same from when they drafted Hurts. He wasn’t drafted to be a backup. He was drafted in case wentz wasn’t the QB they thought and they would have a guy in place who they loved to take over if that day happened. I think they are a lot higher on him then people in the blog. Whether he pans out or not is different story. I think they’ll give him the chance.

i do think they’ll do their due diligence on QBs being at 6. Cause you should and maybe if they fall in love with one they take that chance to move up. Frankly only QB i see fall to 6 is Lance. And i think the cost to move up from 6 to 2 or 3 is likely going to be pricey. I would say the eagles roster at the current moment isn’t conducive to drafting a QB and having him succeed while giving up a ton of picks and future picks. However Lurie also made it a point after 2015 to go get someone they identified as a potential franchise QB.

Guess there are a lot of kids here who never lived through a rebuild.

1997-1999 last time Eagles had a losing record for three years. 6-9, 3-13, 5-11

2011-12:  8-8, 4-12

2015-16:  7-9. 7-9

Before Lurie, starting in 1982:  3-6, 5-11, 6-9-1, 7-9, 5-10-1, 7-8, then the Buddy show came to town.

Now look at the rest of the NFC East and shut up.

We all do.

I want Wentz gone in the worst way and I don't think he's good anymore, but the hyperbole on his character over the last couple days is way over the top. I think people are just dealing with mounting frustration and lack of news and are getting antsy and taking their frustrations out on him. I mean, to take that little Albert Breer blurb and run with it to the extent people are is so foolish.

No one has any idea if Wentz or his camp have demanded he go to Indy, hurting the Eagles trade value. If it comes out definitively that it's true, then sure, criticize him, but we're far from that point as of this moment.

And no QBs in this draft, please.

You might wanna take down that Chase Avitar. You lost two guarantees today. First Carson Wentz will NOT be our starter next season and Chase will NOT be our pick at 6 now.

Nah. I’m going with Fields.

He forgot GM.

You have  4 QBs going in top 10, chances  of 2 being very good are about 10 % if not less. Heck just finding 1 out of 4 to be special is slim.

For whatever reason  the vast majority of top 10 QBs just don't work out these dayd

I think I would trade down and increase my odds of hitting on a few picks , more picks better odds.

I never guaranteed Wentz will be the starter next season, in fact, I said I think he will be traded right after Sirianni was hired when everyone was saying they thought it meant he's staying.

And yes, Chase will be the pick. I've said it for months. I have spoken.

So far I'm 1 for 1. Will be 2 for 2 come the end of April 29th, 2021.

If Fields is available at 6 would you trade Hurts to Bears for 2nd round pick?

Lawrence is going to Jax. The Owner is in love with him.

Well, we basically traded a 1st, 2nd, Bradford and Maxwell for Wentz.

We got 3 playoff appearances and a SB. If we get back (2) 2nds and a 3rd, I'm happy. One 2nd and one 3rd, not so much.

Trade the #6 a 2nd and a 1st next year for Deshaun Watson

I think the Texans could get more than that.  They can get the Jets to give a similar package while including the #2.

I’m curious to see what the Jets do. I think the no. 2 pick has a ton of value cause i think teams will want Wilson but do the Jets want Wilson or fields. If the Jets are fine moving on with darnold for 2021 building the team up around him and giving him him their minds better coaches like LaFleur and saleh and a ton of cap then i think they sell at the highest price. It’s going to be costly. Not sure i make that move for Wilson, fields or Lance

I think it is overwhelmingly likely that the Jets stay put at #2 and take either Wilson or Fields, if they are unsuccessful trading for Deshaun Watson.

We are not getting Chase or Smith guys, make you peace with that. We will be drafting a QB with our pick, just a matter of which one.

Our backup QB is 00 "any name"?  wow.  QB factory has taken a fall...

Pick 85 (actually 84 since NE forfeits one of 3rd rounders for cheating again)

Overall, if we get a 1st in 2022 then this is a good deal. If it's a 2nd, it's disappointing. I'm not worried about the Colts randomly pulling Wentz, because they're going to try to win games. They'll happily give up a 1st if it means they're good. And if Carson tears his ACL in week 3, they'll be bad and we'll get a high 2nd rounder.

Also a positive: our 2022 extra picks could be with a new GM.

Crazy to think Eagles had better pass-blocking than the Colts...

But Wentz sure held it way to long plenty of times.
