I can't wait to see how this owner tries to sell this.  He must understand that he has made both himself and the franchise look like a joke.

The GM isn't held accountable because the owner is making the calls along with the GM.  He is part of this.  He must own it.

What are you going to say on your next Zoom call?  Will there be any accountability?  I doubt it.  I know they will try to pivot quickly to Hurts and extol the virtues of that franchise crushing pick, how magical he was, etc.  I hope the beat writers are able to press home the right questions.

This has become a clown show.  The owner has failed in his most basic responsibility to do always the right thing by the team.  He needs to know that his act is transparent and people know what he is doing.  At this point, it's not even enough for him to scapegoat his lackey Howie.  He needs to own his own part in all of it and show that he is going to do things differently.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

We got the best Carson was likely to ever produce in 2017, and were able to exploit that into a SB. We need cheese to go with all this wine. The eagles are going to be fine.

Doesn’t Howie have better things to do?

Overall, if we get a 1st in 2022 then this is a good deal. If it's a 2nd, it's disappointing. I'm not worried about the Colts randomly pulling Wentz, because they're going to try to win games. They'll happily give up a 1st if it means they're good. And if Carson tears his ACL in week 3, they'll be bad and we'll get a high 2nd rounder.

Also a positive: our 2022 extra picks could be with a new GM.

Basically agree, if it is a 1 next year it's in line with expected compensation.  A 2 and it's right around the absolute floor I expected.

I won't hold my breath for the last part.  Howie must be thought of as the owners son, and together they are Lowie.

Our backup QB is 00 "any name"?  wow.  QB factory has taken a fall...

Personally go 100 for the two times they spent 100 million on QBs since mcnabb was traded and managed to not sustain their franchise QB level of play with either.

You know he is reunited with the coach who helped him produce those numbers.

You cant ignore the 34 million dollar cap hit ,makes deal even worse

I guarantee you , lurie would give that late first rd pick up ,if he could have his 34 million back.

I never guaranteed Wentz will be the starter next season, in fact, I said I think he will be traded right after Sirianni was hired when everyone was saying they thought it meant he's staying.

And yes, Chase will be the pick. I've said it for months. I have spoken.

So far I'm 1 for 1. Will be 2 for 2 come the end of April 29th, 2021.

Your 0-1 Mr Wentz will be the starter next season.

What a Fing clown show we are

Are there any intriguing NFL QBs in situations where they could move teams in the next year or two?

Is he going to reunite with his body before it became completely broken down?

He won't try to sell it for MONTHS AND MONTHS... by that point he'll have a shiny toy to point everyone to, and claim he's the head of the 'gold standard'.

If Fields is available at 6 would you trade Hurts to Bears for 2nd round pick?

If we could get a 2nd round pick for Hurts I'd even be okay drafting Rousseau or Paye at #6

Not surprising.  Any fan that watched this team could see it wasnt the O-line that gave up all those sacks.  They struggled at times but also gave Wentz time yet he couldnt pull the trigger.

Hard to judge Carson solely on 2017 or 2020. The injuries are the one constant. Overall disappointing career here though he was huge in getting us the one SB win. No way that happens without Wentz.

sure -- Aaron Rodgers   lol

Member when he said they didn't think there were any QB's worth taking in upcoming drafts, and that was part of the reason they took Carson in 2016?

Depends what you're evaluating.

Once Wentz has to leave, it's a sunk cost. At least this team is smart enough not to double-down

I’m guessing having a top 5 oline, top 5 defense, good running game and 50 million in cap space to add to Pittman, pascal will probably help make it easier for the colts to have success with him.

Should’ve said aside from him. Someone that isn’t on the opposite side of their 30s.

Wentz gets a ton of blame but the OL was horrible until they finally settled at the end of the year.

Do we have an idea of where we stand with the 2022 cap sans Wentz?

A 1st is equal to (2) 2nds, so we're either going to get value, or Wentz wasn't worth "value" since he couldn't stay healthy.
