I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

In the final days, the Colts wound up being the only real suitor for Carson Wentz. The Bears, per sources, did a ton of homework, and had institutional knowledge on him, but never actually made an offer for Wentz

Of course they didn't.  They had first hand knowledge from Flip of what a headcase the guy is.

Reich/Sirianni couldn't turn Brissett into a good starter, so I'm skeptical Wentz will revert back to a top 10 QB. The Colts are good, so he'll be better by surroundings though.

Brissett isn’t any good either so I’m not sure why you’d draw any conclusions from that.

Is he going to reunite with his body before it became completely broken down?

He has had no injury issues the last two seasons.  Played all 16 in 2019, and was benched in 2020, took a beating all year and did not get hurt.

Guess its time for this tweet again.

He can absolutely be the 14th best QB in the NFL again. That's not worth franchise QB money.

So all the tweets that talked about their offer were bull?

so allllll of the other stories they wrote what's the point?  Clearly they didn't know what they were talking about or were just making stuff up for clicks.  It's wrong on so many levels and just terrible journalism.  Nothing happens to them either, just keep writing crap and tweeting it out for all to see.  No accountability whatsoever.

Sad day.

One of the greatest shows ever. I always love the reaction from Carmine when John asks to have Ralph clipped for making fun of Ginny.

Cry us an ocean Washer.  Then pack your bags for Indy.  You've embarrassed yourself far too much already over the past year.

Colts are trolling us

I don't think we'd get a 6 for Ertz.

I could see a team like Seattle make a trade for him but 6th round pick is probably the best they could hope for him. The reality is everyone knows the Eagles will release him and why trade for him when you can just pay for him in free agency.

Nagy and Doug are good friends.  Guarantee Doug told him to stay away.  Chicago would have been a repeat of Philly.

You're putting a lot of stock in Howie's abilities to evaluate talent given his track record.

When did I say he was injured?  I said broken down.  Guy can't run or escape.  Yet he plays the same style as if his body was in 2016-2017 form.  Holds its for way too long.  The difference now is he can't extend plays.  Those turn into incompletions or sacks/fumbles.

We may be a top ten offense with Hurts, with the Indy scheme. You don't need a gun to run this scheme. Rivers didn't have one last year, and had a pretty good season with meh offensive talent. Hurts will have better receivers than Indy after this draft, and as good or better OL. Indy's receivers, Hilton (31), Pittman (2nd rd rookie), Pascal (UDFA), Doyle (UDFA), Alie-Cox (UDFA, converted BB player), Burton (UDFA). Reich schemed guys open, and they were coached well in fundamentals. Reich runs the ball (10th in attempts with Rivers at QB).

i don't think they'll draft a QB b/c it's too expensive to trade up for one, and whoever falls to #6 will probably be as big a risk as Hurts, who they know intimately.

People fall in love with talent, but I think the reason they fell in love with Hurts was intangibles, he's a great athlete who needs work, but loves the game. Problem with a lot of "stars" coming out of college is they've been pampered their whole lives, Hurts has dealt with adversity and worked through it. And he'll have great coaching. I see it far more probable that they add receivers, a power back and OL depth, so if Hurts doesn't work out, they can bring in a veteran QB for a 1-2 year stint and draft a promising rookie and develop him. One big issue with top picks is teams often feel they have to start them right away, and that often ruins them - KC sat Mahomes for a year and let him learn on the bench.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Johnson coached Dak, who is probably the best comp for Hurts, but he also coached up Trask, who doesn't have a gun but became a top college pocket QB at Florida. This staff has worked with various styles of QBs and knows how to tailor an offense to different QBs.

Can't trade players before the new league year in order to get under the cap. Might have to cut Ertz.

Maybe.  Who knows what the rules will be this year?  The union and league are talking.  That’s why the NFL dropped the apparent cap number this week. I think you can bet on that  If you are the union would you oppose letting teams trade to hit the cap rather than go into free agency with a greatly reduced cap?  More shenanigans to follow in the next few weeks, I suspect.

Idk about that. I think theres 4-5 QBs that could but they are all HOF type of QBs. Good luck finding that one. Eagles haven’t exactly found. In 10 years since mcnabb they signed two guys to 100 million dollar contracts and both were basically done after 2-3 seasons of giving them that deal. And they have had inconsistently level of QB play

Can’t say I am not surprised.  This gives some suggestion that the reports on his coachability were founded in some fact.  Would not be surprised if the Eagles resign Sudfeld or pursue Brissett.
I expect they will be dumping the contracts of over thirty players in trades as much as they can.  I expect a concentration on OL in the draft followed by DL when there are worthy targets.

I also suspect they learned something about guaranteed money and extending into pretend years.  I think we are on the brink of a change on how free agency and second contracts are approached.  Maybe drafting QBs in first round and avoiding monstrous contracts may become the norm.  Something to note is a HC often likes to develop his own QB.  I won’t be surprised if the Eagles draft a QB but I won’t be surprised if they don’t.

I also think Howie may be on a shorter leash than we believe. He made this cap issue and better he fix it than not.  But I also am not convinced that Weidl, Patch and Dorsey may have more say in the draft than Mr. Consensus does this year.

Compensation is better than what the Rams got for Goff.  It will do.  Rather have a shot at a 2022 first than a 2021:first or second.

Next up is probably Ertz but I wouldn’t be surprised at a Kelce deal.  A Barnett extension would not surprise either. $10 million is too rich for him and $18 million is too much for Graham.

FYI, Dorsey went to Detroit.

Sure am glad I put the majority of haters on ignore. This place must be overflowing with stupidity right now.

Zach Ertz liked the tweet of Wentz getting traded to the Colts. This team is a complete dumpster fire.

Eagles spin machine at its finest to try and get more at the time. Now the spin begins about why it was a great deal.

I was just checking out which pick that 3rd rounder is from the Colts. Its pick 84. I found this information on drafttek, who actually had the colts selecting a QB with that pick. That is Jamie Newman from Georgia.
