You can argue for or against Wentz.  There is no argument when it comes to Pederson.  He flat out sucked.

I disagree. But Ive been resigned to the fact it was happening for a while now. 

It was wrong. I think he will be good and we will regret it. Luckily as Im getting older Im more numb to eagles news and Im not even bothered by the pretty pitiful return for our franchise QB.

I will say a thank you to Wentz.  Although he didnt play in the SB run he was a big part of the Eagles getting a SB.

If people say drafting him was a waste of a #2 overall pick then I say BS.  He helped us win a a SB.

The play calling broke his body and made him suck at evading pressure?  Or was it our horrible o-line, the same one that was just proven to be towards the top of the league last year?  Or the wind when the ball would sail?

With Wentz gone, and no heir apparent I want a full tear down. I felt Barnett earned his 10M last year. But now, no thanks. Get that cap space. Trade Ertz, and everyone else expensive. Cox, Slay, etc. Dont care about any dead cap. The earler we choke on those pills and move past it, the better. Need all the picks we can get. Gonna be with a new young QB (hopefully someone with more promise than Hurts) and want all the weapons we can get. WRs, a workhorse RB... but also OL reinforcements. Gonna require lots of picks.

If the #Eagles thought Carson Wentz was going to be a good soldier in Philly this season, they wouldn’t have taken this deal

There was no way Wentz could comeback to this team. Howie destroyed any of that when Hurts became the starter. The writing was in the wall. 
 

This team is an absolute joke. The Colts played them and they are a national laughing stock. As bad as the situation was in Houston they somehow became worse.

I think the most reasonable outcome if Wentz plays better and becomes an average QB. That's still a win for the Colts.

At the end of the day every major move the Eagles make is about one thing and about one thing only: the preservation of Howie's job. 

 

Wentz represented the same thing that Doug did.  A powerful voice in the organization that was no longer completely subservient to Howie and thus presented a danger to possibly getting in Lurie's ear.

Meh... its possible Sirianni's horizontal offense set him up with tons of high percentage throws and makes his stats look amazing this year. A rebound year opens up tons of potential suitors and he might have his choice of which offer he wants us to choose. 

He still ended up in an ok situation. But I dont see any reason why he couldnt or wouldnt have played nice for 1 more year. 

So we have pick 6, 37, 70 and 85 in the first 3 rounds.

Really sucks they don't have 101 anymore.

Trading down to 10 or so to pick up another 2nd or 3rd would be huge.

Trading Ertz for a 4th or 5th will help too. 

Howie needs to look at these draft picks as the future core of the team rather than trade assets to move up.  I think they could come away with 10-12 picks if the right trades are made.

Unless Howie was the one who forced Doug to bench Wentz which we wont ever know. 

Theres no reason to believe Wentz couldnt handle having a solid backup. Thats ridiculous.
