Lurie said they were looking more at 2-3 years down the line to be back to the winning program. You dont need a QB now. Build up the team then get a QB later. Esp if we are going to suck and draft in the top 10 the next few years. Nick is going to be given a ton of slack over the next few years. Drafting one of these high % bust guys this year is a epic fail. by the time you get then team in a ok shape you have to resign this QB to a bigger contract or draft another QB. Makes no sense.

I don't totally agree. Look at the reports of how soon they wanted to dump Doug, and how soon after winning a SB they actually did dump Doug. I think Sirianni will be a 2-3 year stop gap and they will try to get the top candidate down the line and sell it as they are a young team on the cusp of success.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Yea doesnt work out that well. When the Eagles suck your luck if you get pennies on the dollar for your tickets. Your better off just going.

At the end of the Kelley era was a lot of empty seats in that stadium. People seem to think oh eagles fans will just show up when they’re bad. That’s not a true statement at the end of chip’s era and the end of reid era I went to two games, the place was just half capacity by the second quarter

Early 70s maybe more likely. At last late 90s the eagles were able to draft Dawkins, Thomas and trotter and some of those guys. Currently the last 5 years of drafting doesn’t look promising for the ones making those picks right now.

Early 70's?   NFL laughing stock bad for 6 consecutive seasons?  I'm going  with Ray Rhodes bad.

Wow, thought two 2nd round picks was the baseline for this trade.

That said, this situation became a dumpster fire. Better to rip the band aid I suppose.

Guess I better start watching Zach Wilson film.

He looks like such a little D-head so of course they are going to make him the face of the franchise.

As a long time Eagles fan, I am more than used to watching really bad teams. You young whippersnappers have no idea how grim it was.

Yeah I was thinking about this today with regards to the snow. They call this a blizzard. (As i'm sure you remember) When I was growing up (70's - early 80's) this was called a dusting. It was common then to get 30+ inches overnight and then a couple days later get an additional 20+. That was normal for my childhood - we didn't have the snow equipment that we have today either. AND - my dad was one of those guys that would say CHILDREN (then) today don't know what a real blizzard is - "When I was a kid schools didn't shut down - I had to walk 5 miles in 4 feet of snow barefoot - uphill - both ways."

Actually, I won't.   Sirianni turns out to be a QB and WR whisperer and the Eagles are surprise Super Bowl winners in February 2022.  Book it.

Im going on the record saying it is a BIG mistake. Eagles will regret it. Im sure in a few years after Carson is back to playing successful and going to the playoffs year in and year out the fans that said he was a turd will say they didnt say that and they did not agree with trading him.

If he played poorly because Hurts was drafted then your hypothetical is not going to happen. I mean that’s the theory right, the Hurts thingy ?

Siriani is also going to be whispering in Howie's ear to draft a QB, he's not going to have his HC career be DOA with Hurts at QB.

I’m fine with it, need two QB’s anyway.

Ray Rhodes was 10-6 two years. Then they fell off with 6-9-1 and 3-13. He was 29-33-1. This team likely as bad next year as this year. And potentially bad again in 2022. They might be one fo the 5 worst teams from 2020-2022. That to me is far worse than Ray Rhodes era.

add on you have the same guy that got you into this mess trying to get you out of the mess.

My list just keeps growing. LOL

Exactly. I put it this way if you would’ve asked howie Roseman three years ago if he would be in this dire of a rebuild he would’ve laughed at you. Meanwhile the Eagles are in this dire of a situation because of his moves. Any spin or sugarcoating you want to make there is no reason the Eagles how to get to this level of a rebuild. Were there going to be some downs? yes. but the fact that they are this bad and this dire of a rebuild is worse then the eagles likely could’ve imagined 3 years after a super bowl.

But, they identified the right players.   They were just selected just before the Eagles... every time.   Its uncanny. Every year there are only about 4 players worthy of being drafted and they just always seem to be just out of reach for the Eagles.

Please god, don't let Howie draft a QB at 6. What an embarassment if so.

Throwing good money after bad ?

With who? Hurts?

I say bring back Foles to be the back up - and if our 2nd year starter is having an MVP type season then we strongly consider knee capping him around week 13/14.

I would laugh my butt off if something happens between now and March whatever day the season officially starts and the trade can happen and the Colts or Eagles back out, lol. Change of mind, better offer, better options come up etc.

Yes Highly unlikely. Not sure its ever even happened unless there was a failed physical. But it would be very funny and just more fuel to throw on the dumpster fire we have going on.

Countdown until Wilson/Fields/Lance is drafted

The fans where there to start the games, it was after half time it cleared out. Im never that guy. I stay till the clock hits zero every game. But happened a lot that season.

I’ve always said this they always put a spin on why it’s not their fault and shift accountability. They’ll preach it a sound like they are going to but their actions prove otherwise. From top to bottom there’s no accountability. Like you want players to be accountable yet your front office does not hold themselves accountable. It was only a matter of time until a crumbled because if you don’t have accountability up top then it follows through the rest of the organization and it deteriorates. Hence they try to pass the buck to Doug and coaches for reagor. No it’s your front office and scouts for not making it even more crystal clear what you should’ve done with that pick. It falls on your front office and instead of having themselves say you know what that’s all me. I made the mistake of drafting the wrong player. Instead they try to leak out there why it’s not their fault and spin it.  Instead of having the testicles to say I’m accountable for it, it’s my fault and I’m the one making the picks. Instead they maneuver to leak information to try to save face.

Or Fields/Wilson/Lawrence/Lance/Brissett. Those are all the names I heard so far.

I went to the Washington game in week 16 in 2015. It was basically half capacity by midway through the second.

Yea his play had nothing to do with a crap ton of injuries to the team. Poor Oline, No WRs that can run a route, poor game planning, scripting or play calling/play design. It was all because we drafted Hurts. I dont buy that theory by those people. Esp when Hurts had all the same issues when he came in.
