I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Sure am glad I put the majority of haters on ignore. This place must be overflowing with stupidity right now.

Most of it coming from deluded Washers like you and your friends.

Zach Ertz liked the tweet of Wentz getting traded to the Colts. This team is a complete dumpster fire.

Who wouldn't be ecstatic that the guy who's been making him look bad and sabotaging the team with inept play is now gone?

Carson Pyrite just cost Zach Ertz A LOT of money because of his terrible play.

Not get benched in a college game?

Lance's arm strength is superior compared to Hurts. His mechanics are solid as is his footwork. Few tweaks here and there but nothing major. His only flaw I would say is he needs to learn to run out of bounds and not through people lol. He's going to be a helluva player imo

Why is everyone against a QB at #6? I think the top 4 are all better prospects than Hurts. I also think the QB class is going to be a lot weaker next year, so you can't just say roll with Hurts one year and then get a QB next year. I also don't think they will be in position for the #1 or #2 overall pick. So why waste more resources in 2022 to trade up to get a QB if one of the 4 this year stack up to the class next year?

I like the 84th pick too. I haven't studied it too extensively yet, but the 3rd round seems to be a strong area of this draft class. Waiting to pick from 70 to like 120 or wherever our earliest 5th round pick is was a tough look. There are a bunch of options with that 84th pick (maybe we can take another QB with it instead though 👀).

Bad troll attempt.

I'm rooting for a 0-16-1 season.

I think the only QB that would intrigue them is Mac Jones, the others are too much like what they have in Hurts, so they have stronger arms - Jeff George had one of the greatest arms in NL history, how'd that work out? If you're running the Indy scheme, quick release, accuracy and QB IQ are more important than arm strength. What they liked about Wentz is he played a pro system in college so they could see he had the mental tools for the pro game. Johnson will be key here, because he got to see the SEC QBs first hand. Only way they go QB is if Siri falls in love with one.

The offense has no age anymore other than Brooks (if healthy could play at a pro bowl level for 3-4 more years), and Lane. QB, RB, WR, TE are all young once they move Ertz. And it's not like they've gotten anything from Jeffrey or DeSean for two years, you won't even notice they're gone.

On defense, McLeod was injured, Malik was MIA, so the only old guys returning who did anything of note last year are Graham, Slay and Cox. I expect Graham and Cox to stay, both for cap reasons but also continuity, they're "Eagles for life" or close to it. Slay was brought here for the last hurrah, so they may just take picks for him.

The rebuild has already begun, look for 9-10 draft picks, a prime destination for UDFAs and Howie has always been good at finding SFAs and raiding other team's practice squads. I figure by the end of next year there will be 20 new faces on the 53 plus another 10-15 stashed on IR or the PS. It'll be a very young, faster, more athletic team going into 2022.

We don't play the Bengals so I'm not sure who we can tie with

Can he read a defense? Because every year some guy with that description gets chosen #1 or #2 and most fail.

Eagles should do a full evaluation of the top QBs in this draft and if they identify a franchise QB, then go get him. Hurts isn't the way.

Because most QBs taken in the top 10 flop. So you can't just take one, you have to be certain that you have one with the right intangibles who fits the scheme you want to run, and ideally you don't have to start him as a rookie. One advantage Eagles have is they have a lot of guys with experience coaching QBs, so they probably have a better feel of what to look for, and it ain't the ability to throw it 60 yards from your knees.

You think that with hurts. Doesn’t mean the eagles do.

i also believe the eagles could be worse next year with a rookie head coach, lack of ability to add FA, gutting some of the roster and overall a lot of young players going to play who don’t have nfl experience.

This.

Drafting a QB at 6 should definitely be on the table if there’s someone they really like.

The worst thing that can happen is Hurts plays inconsistent, average play(similar to this year) and we end up stuck drafting  in the middle next year where there’s no chance we get a decent QB.

Do you wake up stupid and practice it all day?  2016 through 2019- Ertz averaged 89 receptions. Best years of his career with Wentz as QB.

You set a high bar there.

You should watch more of Lance's game tape. He's clearly better then Hurts and has high upside. 2nd best qb in the draft imo

So now your in the Lance boat? Ive seen you on the Fields and Wilson boat too. So pretty much you want any QB in this draft?

BTW Lance is Lamar Jackson 2.0. No Thank you. He fits in no way Nick's type of system. Niether does Fields. So maybe you should stick with Wilson since him and Trevor are the closest. I for one am hoping Jets go Wilson to end the hope in Philly for a new rookie Qb this year.

I never said just take one just to take one. I'm saying it doesn't make sense to write it off as a possibility without doing evaluations as well as evaluating the future. It's not as simple as "just roll with Hurts one year and figure out QB the next".

True, but quite frankly I don't think the Eagles even know what they are doing at this point. They are just just making snap decisions on the fly.

Howie will trade back out of the 3rd with that pick, because he likes to have picks in each round.  He'll get a 4th yet.Nice that we could flip Wentz to regain the 4th Howie threw away to bring in Gerard Avery.   And Howie even made it a 3rd, and he's going to get that 4th back with a little extra.

You must have me confused with someone else. I've made it very clear I hate Fields. I have said I think Wilson will have a good career but never once said I'd like to see the Eagles draft him. I've been on the Chase wagon since we've had the 6th pick.

I think it's possible that they do take a QB now. Maybe Nick gets his guy during his first year

Who knows. Maybe Nick looked over the tape of Wentz and decided he didn't want to try and fix him and instead wants his own guy with Hurts as the cheap backup 🤷‍♂️

I don’t know if they’re making snap decisions on the fly but I do believe that their first intentions for this off-season was to bring Carson back and not trade him. Schefter also reported that a few weeks back saying they didn’t want too and that’s what they wanted to do. I think that obviously changed over the past couple weeks

Highly doubt it but we probably won't know for awhile, if ever.
