I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Build a nice team first, then land a QB in a few years. Better to have a full team built then add the money for the QB then Start with the QB then by the time you can get a team your paying that QB the big contract.

Colts made the right move. They have the team and just landed one of the last pieces. Bucs did the same. With these Qb contracts its the smarter way to do it.

Titled "New Normal"

I think it's possible that they do take a QB now. Maybe Nick gets his guy during his first year

Who knows. Maybe Nick looked over the tape of Wentz and decided he didn't want to try and fix him and instead wants his own guy with Hurts as the cheap backup 🤷‍♂️

The unstoppable Nate Sudfeld is a free agent.  The Eagles should bring him in as the starter.

I don’t know if they’re making snap decisions on the fly but I do believe that their first intentions for this off-season was to bring Carson back and not trade him. Schefter also reported that a few weeks back saying they didn’t want too.

Between their stupid 2020 draft (not just saying Hurts here, Taylor is a disaster pick especially when your current DC is on the last year of his deal and Taylor is a several year project and may not even fit into whatever it is you are running when he can actually play and not be a complete liability), acting and saying Doug is coming back just to fire him a week or two later and jumping into a coaching search later then everyone else, and then wanting to bring Wentz back just to trade him at a discount price tells me they have no solid plan.

I couldn’t care less about obtaining a generic veteran backup QB. Save the money and resources for something that might matter.

I would be ecstatic if we got a 4th for Ertz

I want the custodian at the NovaCare to write one with all the memos they've thrown away...

Hey, we have Ward.

How dare you call the Unstoppable One 'generic'.

Literally after you posted the Eagle Eye pod suggested Brian Hoyer and Tyrod Taylor.

Drafting a QB at 6 should definitely be on the table if there’s someone they really like.

The worst thing that can happen is Hurts plays inconsistent, average play(similar to this year) and we end up stuck drafting  in the middle next year where there’s no chance we get a decent QB.

I don’t disagree that they should draft a quarterback if they fall in love with one of them and they truly believe he could be the guy they envisioned wentz to be when they did that in 2016.

However I think they love Jalen hurts. I think fans are having a tough time grasping the fact they might also envision Jalen hurts as a starting quarterback with coaching and grooming.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this year and next year they don’t take a quarterback in the first round. I could see them giving hurts two years.  they are in a rebuild and likely believe 2021 the roster with a rookie head coach is not going to be good enough to show you everything. Let’s look at the whole picture of 2021. that roster is going to be a bad roster due to bad salary cap management, poring drafting and who you have to get rid of to get below the cap and their replacements. So hurts might look average but they might say you know what we’ll have a better roster in 2022 with cap space, our coach will be in his second year and young guys get more experience that they think he can go from that to great

They need a cheap back up quarterback..... just take one in the second round

So the Siri hire was for Hurts and not Wentz?

Veteran minimum is fine for said generic backup QB. Anything much more than that is a waste, even in a factory.

I never said their plan was a good plan. Frankly a plan is only as good as the people who put the plan into motion

Why could I totally see them bringing in Josh McCown. He can be the backup and a "coach”

Next years class seems meh. There could be a guy that comes out of no where but I doubt it. You're looking at Slovis, Howell, and maybe Rattler as the top qbs next draft

I believe the Siri hire was for HC.  But, I could be wrong.

Eagles should do a full evaluation of the top QBs in this draft and if they identify a franchise QB, then go get him. Hurts isn't the way.

Presumably they did that in 2016 and in 2020

Again who says they have to take a quarterback in round 1 in the 2022 draft? There might not be a quarterback in that class they like. However the Eagles might also say to themselves Jalen hurts played OK with a bad roster in 2021 and we think with our head coach having more experience and better talent around hurts on the 2022 roster due to more draft picks and cap space that he will play better in 2022. They might not take a first round quarterback until 2023

Yup it’s why they were super interested in Jordan love. Again my opinion they didn’t go looking for an exclusive back up quarterback last year in the draft. They went looking for an insurance plan and fell in love with two quarterbacks one which went to the Packers and the other in which they drafted

Maybe 2025. We can get our hands on Arch Manning
