Leave it to the Eagles to kill two birds with one stone by leaking out that information. I’m still trying to figure out the Eagles leak of DeSean is in a gang. so is he still in the gang or did the gang situation resolve itself? Is Jeremy maclin still on the golf course and that’s why they couldn’t get a hold of him for a contract? Have a bunch more about eagles leaks when people leave the organization.

I always believed Jackson was affiliated with a gang. I dont think he was going around with the gang committing crimes. I think they protected him while he played football so he could finance them, and I think hes probably still affiliated.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Honestly, at this point, we really can't make any assumptions, no matter how logical. If Doug wanted Hurts, and we are moving forward with Hurts, then why isn't Doug still here? We need to assume they are all making this up as they go. Here's my most likely scenario, which is all a guess.

1. Doug says he wants to promote Taylor, keep Wentz, change little and run it back. Lurie decides he wants change and a coach that can work with Wentz, so they can Doug.

2. During the coaching search, they focus on guys to "fix" Wentz and end up landing on Reich's OC. So far everything makes sense.

3. BUT...these geniuses don't get Wentz to buy in to the hire. So they spend weeks finding a coach for Wentz, and the incompetent fools never confirm that hiring Sirianni will fix the issues and make Carson want to stay.

4. Carson makes it known he wants out, regardless of the coaching change.

5. The team is forced to trade a guy who wants out, despite basing their whole coaching change around him.

If this is how it happened, it is breathtaking stupidity.

I’ll say this for now like the 100th time on this board so Doug wasn’t allowed to pick his own coaching staff, was told to fire people on his coaching staff and didn’t have control on his 53 man roster or game day roster but the Eagles all the sudden we’re like hey Doug who do you want at 53? also who do you want in the first round between reagor and Jefferson because were going to rely on your opinion on that but not on your own coaching staff or the roster on game day.

Big fan of the better pick coming next year, after Roseman is probably canned.

Roseman won't get canned.

But 2022 is an easier draft to scout, for good and bad GM's alike.

Half the blue chip talent sat the year out.  The other half played short seasons against lesser competition.

The talent is there; it's just more of a crap shoot than usual, which dilutes the value of the top of the draft.  So I'd much rather stockpile my 1's and 2's for 2022.

But they aren't because it's pretty damn tough for the head coach and qb not to talk

youd think that at that point he would have 0 support left from any players right? It really is unbelievable.

I think we want the Colts to stink, but he plays 75% of the downs.  I have a hard time seeing them being bad though.

I'm not doing that. I completely want Wentz to succeed. Obviously not when he plays us.

And yet the Eagles really never had a problem with that and probably knew that for years and didn’t release it until he was gone. Interesting how that worked out and then some of the people still in that organization wanted to bring him back knowing that.

thoughts on Caden Sterns the safety from texas?

If Doug wants to work again in the NFL as a head coach he has to speak on the new rumor about not talking.  If that is true that looks really bad on Doug and Wentz.  Wentz will get another job as we can tell but Doug will need to explain this.  This looks like Doug lost the locker room.  Then you had reports in the last game people being held back from confronting Doug on the sidelines.  Sounds like Doug let things get way out of control.

I am glad both are gone it is time to move on.  Speaking of moving on we need to just move on from anyone with any kind of value.  Cox - Johnson - Brooks - Graham - Ertz - Slay -  ETC.  Pull the band aid off and rip it apart.

He doesn't have to speak on anything that's what interviews are for. I'm sure these guys couldn't care less about every stupid rumor that is leaked by the mental midget Howie.

Doug will need to comment on this.  He is looking to be a coach again in the NFL.  He will need to clear this up.  Otherwise, he looks really really bad.

Check his Twitter account....that's the most professional way to deal with things.

So.. you think his play last year wasn't atrocious?

Don't be one of those hateful morons.  Anyone here who doesn't irrationally hate Wentz like some of you lot do has stated he played poorly.

The thing I don't get is the hate for the guy.  Why?  Sure, you can say he played poorly and that you want him replaced because you think he's not good enough, but why the hate for him?  What the Hell did he do to deserve the hate?  Other players have played poorly over the years, but didn't get the venomous hate Wentz did.  It's like some of you are taking it personally for some bizarre reason.  Like you came home from work and walked in on Wentz cornholing your girl while she's wearing nothing but his jersey.

Well, you all got what you wanted.  He's gone.  Next season will be a clusterF ish show with being cap strapped and not having much in the way of quality talent to begin with.  Looks like Howie will get the chance to clean up his own mess, which if he does then great.  Lurie should keep him on retainer as a clean up specialist when we need a rebuild, but he shouldn't be the day-to-day GM as he'll always eventually outsmart himself.  Though, I'll be very surprised if they fix this mess any time soon.  Not with the track record of poor drafting.

If Wentz succeeds, we get a worse draft pick.  So which is it, are you a fan of Wentz or the Eagles?

You're going to have to post it for us idiots

I want the best pick possible.

I don't want that either.  I hope he blows up and they win big.  It's not his fault that Howie is an a-hole.

The scenario above was intended for a response to maximize that one pick.

Both, the Eagles get what they get. Don't worry we'll have a high enough draft pick of our own.

I don't waste my time with that crap.  This board seems to think it's Twitter or bust.

Okay

So are we going to post a Carson Wentz thread next year if he starts winning and playing well like we did with Metcalf?

He's gone man.  Let him go already.

I think you are probably pretty close to the truth.  But it's fun to guess.   My take:

1.  We know they did not initially plan on firing Doug.  He had an end of the year PC, met with Lurie in FL.  Doug's meeting with Lurie in FL was almost like the first interview in the HC search.  If Doug could provide a plan that jived with Lurie/Howie (ie, puppet), he'd have stayed.  Instead, Doug made a pseudo power play, insisted on all internal promotions with the staff, which is silly, and Lurie/Howie had their hand forced to move on.

2.  Like you said, they wanted to salvage their investment in Wentz.  I don't think they were absolutely locked in and married to that, but they wanted to make it happen if possible.

3. Maybe it's Sirianni.  Maybe it's the roster talent issues.  Maybe it's the media and fans bashing Wentz.  Maybe it's Howie.  Maybe all of the above.  Wentz wants out.

I tend to think the coaching change was more about Lurie/Howie losing their ability to control Doug and less about making Wentz happy, but that's unknowable.  Also unknowable is to what extent Siriani was hired specifically to fix/placate Wentz.  I think it played a role, but after 2020, I do think they were not married to Wentz in these decisions.

It's a bad situation.  And the Eagles definitely come off as having no plan, no forethought, and just reeling backwards.

Metcalf was never here.

Please elaborate, because whenever I saw Hurts on the sideline he wasn’t listening to Doug; just nodding his head blankly — and whenever Wentz went to speak with him Hurts ignored him and stared into his iPad.

To be blunt, I have concerns about this poise and way of handling things.  He doesn’t look like a communicator at all

Same. And whenever he speaks to the media he sounds like he's falling asleep. I have no idea how he is in the locker room but on the outside it doesn't look great.

Here's my take.

1.) Howie is an idiot

2.) Howie is an insecure idiot

3.) Lurie is either blind or senile

4.)Doug gets 1/2 the blame for everything and gets fired

5.) Carson gets the other half and says screw this I'm out

6.) Howie the idiot continues being an idiot

I think we can safely say that this whole offseason has been reacting to developments as opposed to having a proactive plan on what they wanted to accomplish. Hell, everything since 2/4/18 has felt like an uncoordinated mess.

Feel like we need a new rule -- no comparing anyone to Mahomes. That guy is on a different level than anyone I have seen play.

Maybe when he finally proves himself.
