I’m guessing rob maaddi who is a AP reporter likely has other sources inside the organization he confirmed with before just putting it out there that doug told him that. Just like one guessing schefter also has multiple sources.

If people want believe everything the eagles leak out by all means. However his happens every time the eagles move on from someone they shift blame and leak stories so it deflects away from them. Legitimately mosher and caplan discussed this topic yesterday in their emergency podcast. It’s been a problem for years now dating back to the end of reid era.

I agree with you about the Eagle spin on things.  I am saying though that in his particular case, whether the rumor is true or false, Doug would never admit to it.  He is really stupid but even he isn't that stupid.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

It is completely pathetic and disgusting that our supposed franchise QB was petulant enough to not talk to his own head coach for 10 weeks because his feelings were hurt and you still have all of these supposed ''fans'' defending him.

And now Hurts isn't a leader because you don't like his face at press conferences?! The fanaticism, JFC

We don't know one way or the other yet.  It is all speculation at this point.  I am sure in time, we will get to the bottom of it though.  Some ex player on our team will not be able to keep it a secret if the report is true.

You're gonna act like Doug didn't blatantly lie to the press all season? Have you watched any of this press conferences?

Are you going to act like Howie doesn’t leak things to the media to make himself look better, which this happens to be coincidently one day after the trade?

I put a tweet out that contradicts the story. Relax.

Rob Maaddi basically works for the Carson Wentz PR team since they know each other from going to the same church.

I think the timing of schefter’s reports tells you a lot. After Carson is gone that is leaked. After they have reports out there saying they might still draft a QB. And after doug was gone. Sounds like the perfect storm to say we didn’t cause this fracture with wentz and we never really wanted hurts so we are gonna go draft another QB. JMO

I know that money talks but tell me why any FA would want to sign with the Eagles?  The more that comes out the more the organization just looks bad.  Lurie and Roseman are just slime.  Maybe it's a good thing they have no money to spend because I sure as heck wouldn't want to be here.

People need to remember that finding your franchise QB of the future is about talent evaluation, not bottoming out and picking #1 in the draft.

Mahomes went #10, Deshaun Watson #12, Rodgers #24, Big Ben #11, Josh Allen #7, etc., etc.

So you are complaining about Eagles fans.

Ironically hoagie mouth like yourself used Fugazi. Whats next, is a hot dog a sandwhich? Mount Rushmore of 76er Centers. Clown.

End of the day the trade will go down as the worse in philly history

Wrong again. Can't be a hoagie mouth if you aren't from Philly and speak in a heavy Philly dialect.

Wentz is gone.  Doug is gone.  Howie is still here.  What will happen to him?  He is not totally blameless for this mess.

I’ll say this for now like the 100th time on this board so Doug wasn’t allowed to pick his own coaching staff, was told to fire people on his coaching staff and didn’t have control on his 53 man roster or game day roster but the Eagles all the sudden we’re like hey Doug who do you want at 53? also who do you want in the first round between reagor and Jefferson because were going to rely on your opinion on that but not on your own coaching staff or the roster on game day.

I agree with you on the coaching staff. I don't necessarily think the roster or active players on gamed day was that big of a deal. I think it became problematic because ultimately Doug's relationship with Howie deteriorated. As far as Reagor over Jefferson, I am not sure how much of that is true vs. CYA.  Whether it's true or not, we have to wonder how long Weidl can co-exist with Howie.  If ultimately, Howie does not take ownership of decisions other than to say he was relying on someone else's advice, the people around him will continue to get tired of his finger pointing.

Luckily we have no cap space at the moment.  In 1-2 years if we turn things around, this will all be forgotten.  Players want to come to winning organizations.  If ours is by then and we have the cap space, this will be a non issue.

Roseman is the mess.

Just for one minute take off the Wentz hater glasses.

With or with out a lead Doug Abandon the run every bleeping game. He abandon the run behind a make shift line. A make shift line that was getting wentz killed.

HE also called time after time plays that wentz has been on record that he didnt like. ANDDDDD Doug refused to call plays that Wentz did like/and worked.

If my boss treated me like ****, got my in trouble and tried to get me hurt while not listening to one of my suggestions I wouldnt talk to him either.

Wow, someone in black and white english is openly defending a supposed franchise QB and team leader for going weeks without talking to his head coach. You can't even make this crap up. You might actually be the dumbest motherFer on this board and that is really saying something.

Neither is the owner. All four have blame for this situation.

That is where you fail. I don't complain about Eagles fans. I complain about the nerds who belong to the Carson Wentz lovers FB fan page. In other words, fugazi fans, in other words troglodytes like you.

You would think that Carson had no success as a QB for this team the way some people treat him.  He had a bad 2020.  He had some struggles in 2018 and 2019 but both were pretty good seasons.  The team would not win the Super Bowl without his 2017 season.  I fail to understand the lack of objectivity about his play.

Come one dude.  We don't know what is true or what is false yet.  Don't act like the report is 100% unequivocally true.

So much hostility , why continue to engage one another , its getting nowhere.

I don't think there's been a report that Wentz refused to talk to anyone other than Howie.

I appreciate his play in 2017 and will admit that we do not win a Super Bowl that year if he does not play the way he did.  I appreciated him for that.

I don't like what he turned into though.  Did not make any changes to his game to try to help the Eagles.  His play sucked recently and I did not like him for it.

Some people either love him or hate him.  Why can't it be both?
